Your journey into antiquity begins with the Colosseum, one of the world’s most iconic sights. Your guide will call on their historical and archaeological expertise to tell you all about the battles, both physical and political, that played out in this incredible amphitheater. You might be surprised to learn that ‘Gladiator’ didn’t get everything right and that feats of ancient engineering even allowed the Romans to re-enact naval battles here.
And the next stop takes you back to the very beginning. The Palatine Hill is the spot Romulus chose to found the city that would become Rome in 753 BC – a decision that ended in tragedy for his brother Remus. Here, steeped in history, you’ll enjoy spectacular views overlooking your next destination: the Roman Forum.
Next stop will be the Forum and the Via Sacra (the Sacred Way), the heart of Ancient Rome. All of Roman life could be found in this bustling marketplace: commerce and trade, political rallies, military parades, and the sacred ceremonies of the Vestal Virgins.

Our guided tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill with the lovely Simone, was a highlight of our visit to Rome. Simone took very good care of us in the heat and was knowledgeable, engaging, and brought the history to life. We learned so much and appreciated the opportunity to explore these incredible sites with expert insight. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rome!
Beware of this tour operator. They moved up the time without calling us. (We had a tour of the Vatican that changed time but they made sure to contact us ) We arrived 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tour time and found out they had left without us. They said they sent an email! Who reads email on vacation?!! They refused to refund or rebook our tour. Total SCAM! There were 6 of us and we paid $600!! Do NOT use this company !!!
They canceled two days before as they did not have the tickets. They were probably able to sell them for a higher price
Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience, however we would like to clarify an important point regarding the cancellation. The decision to cancel a tour due to lack of Colosseum ticket availability is always a last resort for us, never a commercial choice. We do everything possible to secure the necessary tickets in advance in order to operate all tours as planned. Unfortunately, in some cases, ticket allocations provided by the official site are limited or released in reduced quantities, and this is completely outside of our control. When this happens, we are forced to cancel in order to avoid overbooking or providing a service that cannot be properly delivered. This is never done lightly, and it is certainly not related to reselling tickets at a higher price, as suggested in your review. We understand how frustrating this situation can be, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. However, we want to reassure you that our priority is always to operate the tour whenever possible and to be fully transparent with our guests when external constraints prevent it. We hope this clarifies the situation.
Booking was easy and customer service was so responsive. On the day, everything ran smoothly, and the guide (David) did an excellent job explaining the history. It's a must-do
