Fabulous Hike Thanks to an Incredible Guide

MC was a truly amazing guide who was incredibly knowledgeable about Denver and Rocky Mountain State Park, while also being very fun. We were fortunate to have one other family on the tour with us with kids close in age. MC suggested a great hike that worked perfectly for us all. We would not have explored even half as much on our own. Our transport was a lovely Mercedes van, too! Perfect for a nap on the ride back to Denver.

Great guided hike

I loved the aspired tours guided hike. The tour guide pcikendusnup from Union Station and we went to Estes Park and got a break before entering. He was very personable about his connection to the parks, an avid hiker and loved everything out doors. It was great to get up close to nature and hike through the woods to see a few peaks especially Longs Peak and part OF Mt. MEEKER IN DISTANCE AND THE ROUTE TO THE LAKE. OUR START AT BARISTADT took us up straight and explained everything about what we will encounter and do. Our lunch was provided and midnful.of dietary snd was really cool.to talk to. He was honest about not being able.to always see big nature like moose, elk, or any of the big ones such as a bear. But we saw wildlife such as chipmunks, blue Jay's, a deer, and some little ones which was great. The Lilly ponds at the lake was another stop we enjoyed before continuing up. Overall great informative as md active hike and recommend anyone on first time to this park to experience the beauty of one America's many treasures.

The views!

An incredible day on the trail, blending vibrant wildflower meadows with crisp blue skies and breathtaking 360-degree views of lakes and mountains. The experience was made even better by our two fantastic guides, who set a great pace, shared fascinating insights on local ecology, and kept everyone’s energy high with great humor. Between the unbeatable vistas, perfect weather, and world-class guide, it was an absolute highlight of a hike. Highly recommend!

They canceled my tour less than 24hrs notice

I was very excited to book a guided hiking tour of Rocky Mountain National Park to finish my long weekend in Denver. Unfortunately, less than 24 hours before my 7:00 a.m. Monday tour, Aspire canceled the hike because "not enough people signed up" and switched me to their sightseeing van tour. I specifically chose a Monday hike because I expected the park to be less crowded. Had I been notified even a day or two earlier that the tour was at risk, I could have rearranged my plans or booked something else. Instead, I was hiking in red rocks when they called and had no real opportunity to change my schedule. The van tour itself was enjoyable. Jed was an excellent guide, the scenery was beautiful, and lunch was great. However, it wasn't the experience I had booked or prepared for. I was also told over the phone that I might be able to get dropped off for a short hike, but on the day of the tour the guide explained that wasn't possible because it was a leisurely sightseeing tour. The most frustrating part was learning that three other people on the van tour had received the same call the day before and had also been switched from the hiking tour. That left me feeling misled about the reason for the cancellation. I understand that tours sometimes need to be canceled, but the communication and handling of this situation could have been much better. Earlier notice, more transparency, or even a partial refund or discount would have gone a long way. While the tour itself was good thanks to Jed, I would likely rent a car and explore the park on my own next time.

Operator response

Thank you for sharing this thoughtful feedback. We’re very glad to hear that Jed was excellent, that you enjoyed the scenery, and that the van tour itself was a positive experience, but we also understand that it was not the experience you originally booked or prepared for. You are right that guided hikes can require more planning from guests, and communication around any change needs to happen as early and clearly as possible. While we did notify you the day before the tour, we understand that this did not give you enough practical time to rearrange your plans, especially since you had specifically chosen a Monday hiking experience in Rocky Mountain National Park. We also want to clarify one point: our records show that two total guests (including you) were moved from the hiking tour, not three additional guests. That said, we understand why the situation felt frustrating and why the explanation did not feel transparent enough in the moment. We are reviewing this internally and reinforcing our process so guests booked on hiking tours receive earlier notice whenever a departure is at risk of not running. We’re sorry the experience did not match what you had hoped for, and we appreciate you recognizing Jed and the quality of the tour he provided.

Stupendous

Andrew was a knowledgeable guide. He worked to be inclusive and respectful of every member of our tour. He was awesome! He found us a moose, a bald eagle and deer… of course lots of prairie dogs enroute. The hiking was stupendous!

Originally planned to do...

Originally planned to do the hiking tour but was moved to this tour due to lack of attendance. I’m very glad this happened because it was a great tour through the park! Our guide Gable was so fun and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
