Roatan Shore Excursion: Zip 'n' Dip Canopy Tour

We visited Roatan by cruise ship and my kids wanted to zipline and beach time, so in theory the Zip and Dip made sense. We arrived at the meeting area at 7:45 a.m. as directed, but we had to wait until 8:45 for all cruise passengers and some were late. It was then a 20 minute van ride to SouthShore Zipline. The zipline itself was organized and well run. Our issue was when it was time for West Bay Beach. We ONLY had 40 minutes at the beach, which is NOT enough time at all. When I had messaged the company before our trip, South Shore ziplines, I was told the beach time was 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Our driver told me that because two people in our group had not zip lined but had walked the canopy path at the Zipline, They had arrived at the beach earlier, so then our whole group now had to leave when those two people wanted to go. I literally had to tear my daughter away from the beautiful blue water and the beach. We had brought our own snorkeling equipment and towels. We were prepared for 2 hours of relaxation and snorkeling at one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. However, that was not our experience and I am disappointed at that fact. People were friendly enough, but when I brought up my concerns to the driver he told me I should have told him that we wanted more time with the beach. Which didn't make sense. I did tell him that and I told him when I messaged the company we were promised 2 hours of beach time. He referred to "the boss" many times, and they also were confused about our reservation, it listed my name x2, I had to show them proof that I had purchased 3 passes via TripAdvisor. I don't know if it was to try to make more money on a tourist, or genuinely a mistake. I wouldn't book with them again.

You should know that this is the an experience of a lifetime. The staff was friendly, helpful, and treated me and my family. Like we were part of the team shim our tour. God was phenomenal. He was very polite, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. He taught us about the culture in each little part that we went to made us feel like we have lived there all of our lives. We even let us pick places to stop if we wanted to check them out or take pictures very good with the elder. The zip hunt was absolutely phenomenal. We took our 16-year-old nephew and he loved it. They even convince him to let go a few times. It was great. Also, the guy who took our pictures was extremely good and the price you could not beat for the package. It was $30 for three of us and it was almost almost 100 hundred photos. This is a must do if you’re in Honduras we were on icon of the seas, and this was the best stop easily accessible. We had someone who was disabled with us and they set upfront out of the sun and it was a really good experience for them as well. Shim was the best. You will not go wrong with booking this just do it. You only live once.

Wow, what an amazing experience flying over the jungle, and by the sea! Captain Jack sparrow, and the real Kevin Hart took wonderful care of my mom and I!! They were engaging, knowledgeable, and so fun! We even were lucky enough to see some monkeys! Can’t say enough good things about the experience!!

We did the tour again because 10 years ago it left us such a good impression, and this time too. The zipline was our favorite, 9 stations, one is 1090 feet long, good scenery. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. The beach has crystal clear water and white sand, many security guards so we feel safe. They sell fresh pineapple and coconut on the boat, the pineapple beverage was so delicious. We had lots of fun at the nearby swimming pool too.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! We were taken (family of 4 including 11y old boy) care of by the agency immediately after the ship arrived and quickly transported to the park. The zip lines themselves were a fascinating experience - fast and long, and a lot of fun. It’s a pity that we made a mistake during the reservation and didn’t include the additional walk through the park. However, relaxing on the beach was also great. It was wonderful that the company provided a safe area with changing rooms, access to pools, and other facilities. I definitely recommend it, especially compared to the excursions offered directly from the cruise ships. We went early in the morning, and thanks to that our group was very small and intimate (only 10 people). When we were leaving, we could see that many more people had arrived for the zip lines.

We all had a teriffic time. We all felt safe and the crew looked after all of us. The only thing that was missed was an opportunity for the company to make some money by recording and selling a digital video of our time zipping. Thanks for the personal care to all of of group. It was a blast.

Preston and his team were over the top. They not only made it a fun adventure, but were super vigilant about your safety. Folks don't miss this treat! Great Job Guys! !

We had a nice experience on this tour, though they’re a bit aggressive for tips. For reference, the zip lines are a bit shorter than what you find in some places. Nonetheless, it was a nice tour. I’d recommend it.
