The whole experience was amazing! There is a 30 minute hike up to the cave. The guide was sensitive to different hiking levels and made stops along the way. In the cave it is very rocky so you have to be careful. Once we were in the darkest part of the cave everyone turned their lights off. That was a strange sensation. All around a great experience!
Highlight: The absolute #1 best experience of our entire 8-day Vancouver Island trip! Getting There: ~25–30 km drive from Qualicum Beach; note that the final ~10 km is a bumpy gravel road. Tour & Cost: Highly recommend taking a guided tour to get the full experience. We did the Action Package (~$360 for 2 adults + 2 kids), and the 1.5-hour experience was worth every penny. Gear: Excellent helmets and headlamps are provided. Bring a light jacket and mandatory sturdy trekking/hiking shoes (grip is essential; non-compliant footwear will force you to purchase suitable shoes on-site). Optional: $6 waterproof gloves if you want to keep your hands dry. Physicality: Incredible fun, but physically demanding! Expect crawling, climbing, and tight squeezes—skip this if you have mobility or knee issues. Tip: don't miss the slide and mind your head!!
One of the best experiences of my life. Very adventurous, challenging and beautiful. It was for about 1.5hrs and it was all worth the money. Also we had the best and most helpful guide Claire and other and staff.

An excellent experience for everyone! The children, aged 6 & 8, loved the experience and had comparatively little difficulty in managing it. Our guide, Stephanie, was superb!! She was knowledgeable, patient, and extremely helpful. We were in a small group of 10, but a group of 8 would be even more ideal for the terrain within the cave. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending this tour based on our experience.
It was quite the challenge, but I made it, thanks to the help of our very patient and encouraging guide, Jenna. On their website, they outline in great detail what one can expect; however, somehow I still managed to underestimate the degree of difficulty, and overestimate my abilities. I am a 70-year old woman and I thought I was in fairly good shape, but I wasn't really fit enough. I had no problem climbing up the rock wall and rigid ladder, but the cable ladder was my undoing. I learned that a swaying, narrow cable ladder requires more upper body strength than I have. Of course, my 37-year old son had no problem whatsoever. I would highly recommend the Max Depth Adventure to those who understand and appreciate the physicality involved. I was very pleased with our guide Jenna. She is very skilled and knowledgable, and shared many interesting cave facts.

It is one of those must do fun things in your life time , I been here so many times but surprised my girl never been to any Caves adventures in her life , they have so many packagers to choose from age six to sixty ! what are remarkable underground cave to explore , little chilly and wet amazing crystal formations and unique natural fossil ( Do Not Touch ) it is 100% life time experience , our guide very knowledgeable and professional , every one in out group really enjoyed it under $100 it is worth every rock great for kids and family to do on the Island , plus Regional Park Camp Ground just next door ! MUST MUST DO ! PS ***** Lot of crawling so make sure your physically fit , dress light waterproof clothes and bring extra dry clothes along to change after the tour plus there is no washroom inside the Caves ! it is challenge to drive almost 7 miles on loosely gravel road !
