This award-winning, owner-operated 2-hour tour begins at the Phillips Brewing Tasting Room (2000 Government St) and includes stops at The Gates of Harmonious Interest, Fan Tan Alley, Market Square, Bastion Square, Government St., the Inner Harbour, and the Parliament Buildings. There are six local tastings included along the route as we discuss the history and quirks of beautiful Victoria, B.C. Tours operate rain or shine!

The tour begins inside the Phillips Brewing Tasting Room.
Discover another quiet alleyway in the middle of bustling Chinatown.
The tour makes its way through Canada's narrowest thoroughfare and the heart of Chinatown.
The tour spends some time in a vibrant public space that was once a market for trading animals in Old Town.
The tour stops at the original site of Fort Victoria from 1843 and is now home to excellent restaurants, bars, and busking scene.
The tour explores the vibrant pedestrian area full of shops, bars, and restaurants.
The tour finishes near the Legislative Assembly buildings in the beautiful Inner Harbour.

Andy is both an incredible tour guide and a lovely person. His passion for food, history, and sharing the beauty of Victoria is evident in every word he says. It’s very well-paced—we definitely had leisure time to eat, but nothing ever felt like it dragged on, and we were done at 4:30 on the dot. The amount of food, interesting information, and attention you get is more than worth the admission price. We absolutely adored our experience and would recommend this to anyone visiting Victoria!
Andy is super knowledgeable, friendly, and his passion for Victoria and the food scene here is infectious. A must do when you visit here, especially because after you’ll know all the great food spots to eat at!!!! 10/10

Great host! This feels like when you’re visiting friends and they take you to their local favorites. Do this tour early in your trip and you’ll get good dining tips for the rest of your stay.

Our tour with Andy was so much more than a food tour. We learned about the history, culture, and interesting facts about the area. The food and stories behind the food were all exceptional. I would take this tour on my first day in Victoria if possible and have plenty of time to return to the areas you learn about.

This is a must do when visiting Victoria! We’ve done many good tours and Andy’s is the best so far. Not only does he share very interesting information, the food is great. Meeting the vendors and hearing directly from them made the tour feel personal.

I had a fantastic time on the Victoria Guided Food and History Tour today. It’s clear that Andy knows and cares about the vendors he visits, and that both he and the vendors also care about giving back to their community. The food was all delicious, and there were a few genuinely different and surprising things on the menu that I might not have tried otherwise. Andy had an infectiously jolly energy and imparted a lot of interesting information about the city. I can’t recommend the tour highly enough.
