Purchased a holiday package ifm Mallorca 312. The package included hotel, bike rental, access to the bike race and transportation to and from the airport. Everything was perfect - friendly and welcoming staff who helped with a practical thing during the stay. Should I participate in the same race again, I will definitely use Rompelberg again.
Excellent value for money – even the best on the island for us. We rented our bikes at the Fontanellas Playa pickup station and were completely satisfied. The bikes were in perfect condition, and the local team was extremely friendly and helpful. Due to bad weather, we wanted to postpone the start of our three-day tour by one day at short notice – this was also made possible without any complications. Big thank you – we would love to come back!

This was a fantastic cycling holiday in all ways!! Our hotel, Grupotel Amapola in Muro, was just a 5 minute walk to the Rompeberg bike pick up location. The rooms were a tad small but otherwise lovely with a nice view, the staff was friendly and very efficient, the buffet was excellent and quite varied, and the beach was just a short walk away. The bikes were excellent and well maintained, and the service staff was great and fitted us perfectly. The group rides were well organized and offered lots of different challenges/options, and were absolutely beautiful! We loved our guides, Greg and Wolfgang, both were so accommodating and friendly. We cycled in Palma several years back through a different tour group and this cycling holiday far exceeds that experience. Highly recommend Rompelberg Cycling Holidays!!
Velos rented in Palma- need repair in Alcudia: bad reception of the repair manager and the lady at the reception- the day before our departure we are told that the store will be open from 3pm to 6pm and it was opened after a reminder email at 4.30pm- the day of our departure we are promised transport to the airport at 7.30am and no one was present - at 7.45am we took a taxi because our flight was less than 2am
perfect organization, top bikes, enough different performance groups where you can choose your group from day to day, great tours and above all very good cycle paths, I can only recommend
Marianne, the ride leader was lovely (biked out of Alcúdia -Muro location) and it was a wonderful day out with the group. The bike was tuned nicely and the gears and brakes responded well. One huge problem with this company is communication. I tried emailing and messaging through the site to ask some key questions. I understand fully that English is not their first language, however no response after a few tries was frustrating. It ended up that I bought a pass for a group ride and rented a bike from them for a day they didn’t have group rides, even with my inquiry. Thankfully they allowed me to come the next day when they actually had a group ride but that could have been avoided if they had answered my inquiries. Then after the group ride, they were closed when we got back, and didn’t communicate where I was to bring the bike back! It was all locked up! Thankfully Marianne has a key and we left the bike by reception. Maybe if you are Dutch or German they may have communicated better? Thankful for the great leader and group as well as the bike, but I think I could probably get better communication and organization from another company. Will be going with another company next time.
The organization in advance was always very friendly and quick, and the organization on site was also great. The bikes were perfectly adjusted and of great quality. The tours were great fun. The two guides, Jur Jan and Marianne, always paid attention to the size of the group, had lots of good tips, and showed us great parts of the island. The hotel was right next to the rental shop (we were in the north), clean with good food. We had a great week and can only recommend the rental shop and the tours.
This was our second trip to Mallorca and our second time with Fred Rompelberg tours. This company has nailed it. Fantastic experience in every facet of our trip. The guides are knowledgeable, personable, and they really love being around people. If you want to experience a cycling trip that you’ll never forget, don’t hesitate to book with Fred Rompelberg. I (absolute road bike beginner) booked a road bike online in advance and I got exactly what I had in mind. On the day of arrival I am directly to the bike station and received my previously booked road bike within 15 minutes. For booking you will receive a drinking bottle, a bag and small items. If you want another lock or similar, a deposit of 20€ will be charged. All the settings I needed for myself were set up accordingly. So I could get started right away. As part of my tour I had no problems and the return was also straightforward.
