Not very interesting - hardly any sights to see on that stretch of the river and no commentary - was a pleasant relaxing boat trip but not really worth the money

The first modern panoramic boat tour in Ljubljana has been presenting the "Slovenian Capitol from the River Experience for more than 15 years". Join us all year long, on our boats that are covered with transparent cabins and managed by friendly and experienced captains. Say hello to the ducks and coypu living in the river, while sailing past the city palaces, parks and bridges both old and new.
Out at sunset: the 5:30 PM departure is under way when the sun sets, around 6:09 PM in the coming weeks.

A very friendly captain, and it was very interesting in the nice weather.
Everything is fine. Well organized. Excellent beer during the break. Thank you
Ljubljana does not have a real artistic heritage that leaves you speechless, but the cruise was evocative while sailing through nature and because of the friendliness of the person who was conducting it.
We loved our River Boat Cruise. Our guides provided a rich history of the river and the buildings/bridges. They were extremely friendly. The boat had only a few people on it so you could chat with the crew easily. It was well worth the price, and the time was just perfect. The only negative I have is that the last few things we have booked though Tripadvisor we have not receive any information on where we were to meet. We had a 10:00 departure time and the night before we realized we never received any info about where the boat was to depart from. We called Tripadvisor and the Customer Service rep was NOT helpful at all. She didn't have any information for us either and said they would find out and email us in the morning before our departure. We never got an email in the morning from Tripadvisor so we left a little earlier than we needed and went to a spot we had seen boats stop at and figured if it wasn't the right spot, hopefully they would know where to go. Luckily, we did end up in the right spot.
If you go for the first trip of the day at 10am then there will be no signage out to tell you which dock to go to! It was very confusing and I was running up and down asking different boat tours which place I needed to go to, which they pointed in a direction but still no signage! Eventually I saw the boat coming down the river from a bridge and where it was about to stop so I was able to run down to the dock. I have photographed the specific dock this cruise runs from. The cruise itself was nice enough, though it didn't feel we went very far down the river before turning back around. It is advertised as being one hour long cruise but I was picked up at 10am and dropped back by 10.45 - including boarding and then the stop for a hot drink I think overall cruise time was probably 30 minutes. If I were you I'd go for a guided tour instead, I tried to find their guided version but was not able to! There are plenty of boat tour operators running in the area so shop around. I only went with this one as I got some sort of discount after using booking.com. It was cheap and a nice cruise on the river but it did not blow me away! Images are of the steps to the dock and the restaurant directly opposite to assist people in finding the area!
Boring! It would have been nice if there was a little explanation about the city or where you sail, but you only sail back a bit in one direction and a bit in the other. EUR 15 p.p is too much for this
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry the cruise didn't meet your expectations. This cruise is intended as a relaxing sightseeing experience, but for guests interested in the city's history and architecture, we also offer a guided tour twice a day (at 12:00 and 16:00) with commentary throughout the trip. We appreciate your suggestion and will continue looking for ways to improve the experience. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Team Ladjica
Tour was great. Even had a stop where you could purchase a drink. The staff member was so friendly. Great price and would highly recommend. We truly had a great time and would visit again
I had a really good experience on this boat tour down the Ljubljanica River. The company was very responsive when I had questions about the weather conditions and the meeting point, and they replied quickly which made everything easy to organise. The boat itself was perfect for a rainy day as it is fully covered, so you stay dry and comfortable throughout the trip. It is worth noting that there is no guide or live commentary, so if you are looking for a guided tour with information, this may not be the right choice. Overall though, it was a smooth and relaxing ride and ideal if you just want a simple way to see the river, especially in less predictable weather.
5 minutes after the departure there was already an initial break of over 10 minutes at a bar on the shore to buy drinks. After that, 2 stops to pick up a hiking group and drop it off again. Of the offered journey time of 1 hour, at most 40 minutes remained. With the other providers we have not seen anything like this!
Thank you for your feedback. The short stops during the cruise were an exception related to the two running events taking place in Ljubljana that weekend, which caused organizational changes and adjustments to the meeting points. We would also like to note that the cruise duration is approximately 45 minutes in total, as indicated in our offer details. We do take your feedback seriously and will work on improving communication for future guests during similar events.
