Nestled in a centuries-old brick building with creaking floors and flickering lanterns, The Griffon Pub sets the perfect mood for a night of haunted exploration. Known for its vintage charm and ghostly legends, it’s said that some patrons never truly leave. Grab a drink, gather your courage, and prepare to step into the shadows—our ghostly pub crawl begins here.
At this stop you will discuss the haunted history of one of Charleston's most haunted buildings, The Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon.
You will have the opportunity to purchase and alcoholic beverage from this notorious speakeasy. You will discuss the Prohibition Era and learn about the haunted history of the Blind Tiger.
Here you will stop by one of Charleston's oldest public buildings built in 1713. You will learn why and for what reason this building was built. A female apparition is often seen here.

Fun Tour
Lots of fun. Our tour guide, Justin I believe, was wonderful! He was very personable and knowledgeable about Charleston. Lots of fun stories!! Highly recommend!!

Maybe Skip This One
I’ve done ghost tours in Seattle and New Orleans, so I had high hopes for this one. I’m glad we went, but overall it was just okay. The tour leaned much more toward Charleston history than ghost stories. The history was interesting and we definitely learned a lot, but I would have liked more spooky storytelling. The Edgar Allan Poe story was the highlight for me and exactly the kind of thing I was hoping for more of. Our guide was very knowledgeable, but his delivery was a little subdued and could have used more enthusiasm. The “pub crawl” portion was the biggest miss. We only visited two pubs, and there didn’t seem to be any arrangement with the bars to help the group order quickly. Both times, it took so long to get a drink that by the time we had it, we were basically being told to meet back outside. Overall, interesting history, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a really spooky ghost tour or a true pub crawl experience.

Haunted History
Great haunted history tour punctuated with a cocktail or two. We enjoyed it greatly. Walked a bit, brand a bit, learned a bit about the history of Charleston

First timer
My first haunted pub crawl. We had a good time and had plenty of stops and time to have a drink while there. We walked through the old town area and had stops along the way besides the pubs that explained what happened in certain sights and who was still haunting there. Very entertaining. I just feel sorry for our wonderful guide who ended up more like a cat herder rather than a guide as the night wore on and more pubs were visited and drinks consumed. He was a good sport.

We attended the pub crawl...
We attended the pub crawl on Halloween and were disappointed with the experience. The guide informed us at the start that we wouldn’t be visiting any of the bars advertised because they were too busy on Halloween. Instead, we went to one bar, one restaurant/bar, and a booze pop van. If we had known in advance that the advertised stops wouldn’t be included, we would have made other plans.

Tom was our guide. He was easy to hear and understand. He told ghostly tales along the way and inside each of the 3 pubs visited.
