It took an hour to get to Ranua Zoo. It was a self-guided tour to tour the zoo independently with own pace. Our tour guide was Lea who was very polite and kind. She made sure everything went smoothly for us during the tour. Lea was very kind and responsible. She drove back to us to give my mobile phone that I left in her car. Thank you so much, Lea.
The guides greeted us promptly at the agreed location. They even provided us with Finnish chocolate for the drive to the zoo. Once there, they got our tickets quickly and got us orientated. We had over 2 hours to explore the zoo which enabled us to see all of the animals. They were waiting patiently for us in the parking lot for the drive back to Rovaniemi. Overall, it was a great experience.

We had a really lovely experience on this zoo tour. It was just me and my girlfriend, and our guide was incredibly nice, pleasant, and kind from start to finish. He picked us up directly from our hotel and explained the plan for the day on the way, which made everything feel very easy and well organised. When we arrived, he showed us where the restaurant was and let us know that our meal was included in the tour. He also gave us a clear plan for exploring the zoo, told us the polar bear feeding time, and shared a few helpful tips so we wouldn’t miss anything important. After that, he let us explore the zoo on our own, which was perfect for us as a couple. It felt relaxed, well-planned, and very enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting. Thank you for such a pleasant and memorable day!
