You will be taken on a northern lights hunt with a professional photographer in a spacious van. (Comfort is important for road trips, as we travel at least 50 km—but usually around 120 km one way—to find the darkest spot.) A delicious Finnish Sandwich and berry tea are on the menu for the night to satisfy your hunger. Since our priority is finding a clear spot for the northern lights, we don’t set up a barbecue for unnecessary sausages. Based heavily on cloud coverage and solar wind data, you may visit 2 to 3 different viewpoints from the 100 we have mapped, discovered all across Finnish and Swedish Lapland. Some say it’s a nice road trip; others call it a true northern lights hunt. Due to weather conditions, we always send an information email to our guests by 13:00 at the latest on the day of the tour. Sometimes, we may need to depart 1 hour earlier or later to find better weather. Our tours usually start between 18:30 and 19:00 and end around 01:00 to 03:00.

The weather was cloudy the day we went on the tour, but despite that, our tour guide took us from Rovaniemi all the way to the Russian border (we actually saw the border) just in case we might be able to see it. And finally, we saw some spectacular views. The guide's explanations and attentiveness were excellent; he took all the photos we wanted and even brought us tea, thank you very much. We were on the road from 8:30 in the evening until 4 in the morning; the car was very comfortable, and there were blankets. If you're thinking of going, I definitely recommend it.
We had the most incredible Northern Lights tour! The aurora was visible pretty much the entire night, and we could clearly see the vibrant green curtains dancing across the sky with our naked eyes. Our guide, Emin, was absolutely fantastic. He took so many great photos of us and even recorded some wonderful videos to capture the memories. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rovaniemi!
I was very pleased. We felt more comfortable because he spoke Turkish. He honestly informed us. The writing was excellent. The hot tea and cake served on this cold day were wonderful :) I especially recommend it to those coming from Türkiye. We would choose it again; we were satisfied with the price-performance ratio.

Hello! Our experience with Lapin Taivas was great. We didn't expect to see any aurora because the day was cloudy and it had been raining. Miraculously at night the sky cleared and we could see several incredible auroras. The group was very small and we had a great time. We could see the lights next to a lake in the middle of a forest, it was beautiful. The guide was very friendly, explained everything very well and took us back to the hotel giving us red fruit juice and buns. Thank you for everything and a big hug!
