Rainbow Mountain Motorcycle Tour and 5 Minutes Hike

Our team will pick you up at 4:00 am from the Plaza de Armas in Cusco and from hotels located in the city center of Cusco. If your hotel is outside the designated pick-up area, please contact us at least one day in advance to arrange a convenient meeting point. Alternatively, you can come to the Plaza de Armas at the scheduled time for pick-up.

After picking everyone up from their respective hotels, we will head directly to the town of Cusipata, a 2-hour drive. In Cusipata, our restaurant is located where we will have a hearty breakfast at 6:00 am to continue our journey.

After breakfast, we will continue our journey for 2 hours more to the village of Kayrawiri Alto. During this 2-hour drive, we will be treated to beautiful landscapes of rivers, adobe houses with thatched roofs, and a lot of alpacas and llamas. As we near the village of Kayrawiri, we will catch a distant glimpse of a vast expanse of snow, marking the famous Ausangate Mountain. Ausangate is considered the highest mountain in the Cusco region and was the most important Apu (sacred mountain) during the Inca era, as well as in the present day.

Upon arriving at the village of Kayrawiri, the local villagers will be waiting for us with their motorcycles to take us on a 7-minute ride to the summit of Rainbow Mountain. Once at the summit, we will walk for about 5 minutes to reach the main viewpoint. With our guide, we will explore Rainbow Mountain, taking beautiful photos and enjoying the stunning landscape of the Peruvian Andes. We will spend 1 hour at the summit of Rainbow Mountain with our guide. Afterward, we will walk back for 5 minutes to where we left the motorcycles and then ride back with our guide to the village of Kayrawiri, where our transport will be waiting for us. We will then return by the same route to the village of Cusipata for a buffet lunch.

After visiting and exploring the landscapes of Rainbow Mountain, we will return by van for a 2-hour drive to the village of Cusipata to enjoy our buffet lunch. Around midday, we will have a hearty meal to recharge our energy.

After lunch, around 1:00 pm, we will begin our return to the city of Cusco, concluding our service at the Plaza de Armas. Our service will end at the Plaza de Armas in Cusco around 4:00 pm.
