Trip from Cusco to Cusipata: We will have a trip of almost 02 hours from Cusco to Cusipata, here we will have a delicious Andean breakfast. It is important to remember that we will be in a community far away from Cusco and we will not have the comforts of a city restaurant.
We'll embark on a nearly 2-hour journey from Cusco to Cusipata, enjoying a hearty Andean breakfast upon arrival. Keep in mind, we'll be in a remote community, devoid of urban dining conveniences. Following another hour's travel, we'll reach the Chillihuani parking area. Trekking along a trail, the scenery will gradually transform into vibrant mountains and babbling streams, breathing life into the valley. Should you find the trek challenging, horse rentals from villagers are available for approximately 70 soles. Reaching an altitude of 5200 meters, we'll behold the majestic 7 Colors Mountain, capturing timeless moments amidst its colorful landscapes. Our guide will offer insights on the mountain and guidance for those interested in visiting Red Valley (optional) before our return to the parking area.
We return to Cusipata, where we will enjoy an Andean lunch. 17:00 approx. We will be back to the city of Cusco. We will leave you in the Plaza Regocijo or San Francisco and we will finish our 7 Colors Mountain tour.

The logistics of the visit are very well prepared, from the hotel pickup with a very comfortable Van, the guide very attentive, the site is very nice, the walk to the tip of the mountain where Vinicunca is located (Mountain of 7 colors) is very demanding, it is recommended not to do it immediately arrive in Cusco, they must wait at least 2 days to be used to the height and try not to drink liquor or eat heavy meals the night before, the hike is 3.5 km climb that are very demanding, the weather is very cold and with a lot of wind, they must be very warm and wear glasses and gloves, also wear shoes to not slip and be able to step on pools and stones, when reaching the top, the view is spectacular, maybe take time the line for photography but worth it, the descent is just as difficult as exhaustion is felt on return, I recommend to bring energy bars and water
I was worried about making this trail because of the altitude, but I was surprised! I was able to finish without feeling bad! The guide guidelines were essential and the help with the flowering water too! Rs Being acclimatized is really essential! I felt a lot of difference when I did the 7 lagoons, where I was only 2 days away in Cusco, when I did this, which I did after 5 days in the city. Breakfast and lunch very good too! We received a blanket from the agency in the van to cover ourselves as soon as the tour began, because it was quite cold, thanks for the care! I loved and super recommend.
The plan we acquired included climbing a stretch by motorcycle cart, then climbing the mountain on foot, which involves great physical effort..... But the final view, the mountain, the wasteland and in general the whole landscape is worth it. It's a wonderful place.
The whole course is an endless beauty! I went to the horse the first half hour for 70 soles and it was very worth it, but attention: give coke gum inside, take breaks if necessary, because if you don't have physical preparation, tired yes. Our guide guided us with the rests and breaths, very attentive. It was beautiful.
One of the most unexplained sensations I've ever felt was being on the top with an incredible vision. The process was extremely quieter thanks to the agency, translated, amazing guide, café da manha and lunch very good, there are no possible complaints in my head since it was all perfect. I recommend closed eyes
Guide Ros was accurate in timing and, group management. He cared for all the members, who were comfortable and knew the difficulties that could arise on the tour. Thank you so much!!
The effort on the climb is worth it. I recommend 100% doing the climbing and descending on horseback to not get so fatigued in the end. On the other hand, 100% warm up from the cold in such height and patience to wait for the clouds to clear.
Perfect. Great driver guide. Van Nova. Pristissimo. Always safe. Go in confidence they are excellent. Attentive
Excellent care, in the archaeological areas the guides know a lot and explain very well, always punctual and attentive. The hotels also small but very welcoming and clean. P.S. if you are Mexican bring spiciness because here nothing is spicy 😬☺️
We were visiting rainbow mountain on the last day of our trip to Peru Our guide for the day was Jonathan. The hike to it was challenging for us as an couple cause of the altitude and we were tired as we were close to the end of our trip. But our guide really encouraged, motivated us and kept pushing us that we can make it. He gave us constant tips and we were glad that we were able to complete the hike and take back beautiful memories. Highly recommend and thank you.
