Rainbow Mountain Avoid the crowds with 8 AM Departure from Cusco

Great experience! The climb with altitude is a challenge but definitely doable. I do recommend a face covering for dust and a hiking stick which was pleasantly provided by our guide. We spent a couple of days in Cusco acclimating and it helped. I wasn’t sure about the final climb but do it. It is so worth it. The view is incredible!!

First I made the mistake of booking the wrong date! They corrected it for me without any hazzle. Then when they had to start 4 hours more early on my chosen date, they moved it for me againl Starting at 8 was my reason for chosing this company! But the good service is what makes me recommend this tour to all! The guide was good, the mountain is breathtaking, the lunch was nice - a set menu of your choice - compentent safe driver. I opted to rent a horse which was a great choice for me, but it will only take you 80 % up the mountain - but so much better than hiking... For me at least. And a guy leads the horse, so it is just sitting there and relax! But I lost my breath completely after dismounting the horse, so bring your coca tea and/or leaves to help your breathing. They sold tea for 40 soles a cup - ridicuslous! But they also sell Snickers at a more reasonable price - they are owed a lot for dragging it all the way up there! We had snow, hail, rain going up and down, but clear sky at the top :-)

Visiting Rainbow Mountain was an unforgettable experience. The vibrant colors of the mountain are even more stunning in person, and the entire journey felt well organized and smooth. The guide shared helpful insights about the area and made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the hike.

I participated in the excursion with at the Rainbow Mountains and the Red Valley with Andina Expeditions. The pickup was punctual before dawn in order to arrive at the destination before the hordes of tourists. Frank, the driver, was very attentive to driving both on the road and up the mountain. The guide with whom I did the hike, Carlos, was exceptional, provided various information about the whole mountainous area and answered every question. During the climb he was always interested in how I was doing and occasionally giving me some Florida Aqua to help me with my breathing. I recommend relying on Andina Expeditions for this excursion, specifically I recommend Frank and Carlos.

I have travelled a lot and never had such an awesome day out. Our guide, Anibal, and driver, Ronny, were exceptional. We made it to rainbow mountain which was a truly incredible place. Anibal had great energy, spoke perfect english, and helped me with some Spanish I'd been struggling on. Ronny's driving was super smooth, and kept us feeling comfortable and safe the whole time. There were a few obstacles given the challenges in the region when we were visiting, but at no point were there any issues these guys couldn't figure out, nor at any point did we feel concerned by anything, despite a lot of other tour operators not running. When we got to rainbow mountain we were one of only a couple of cars, and only 10's of tourists. It was unbelievable. If you want to go to rainbow mountain I would 110% recommend booking with these guys. Sam
