Our guide was very flexible on start time and location. But that’s where the good ends. He wasn’t particularly knowledgeable about the history of place, and if he was, he certainly didn’t express it in a way that made it clear and easy to understand. He would give us history on random buildings rather than history of the city as a whole. We asked many different questions in many ways to try to get him to explain the place in the way we were looking. But he eitherdid not know or did not understand. Also, while he spoke English, his English is not great. Overall, very disappointing. Definitely not worth the money. I would’ve rather paid more for somebody better.
Our guide for a private tour did not show up to meet us. After waiting 15 minutes we called the guide who told us she would not be giving a tour and had told the company that she would not do the tour because the company was not paying her enough. When I called Viator for a refund they told me that I needed to have cancelled 24 hours in advance so they could not do a refund. I needed to stay on the phone almost 30 minutes before they offered to contact the firm they subcontracted the tour to, to see if they would offer a refund. Ultimately I got my refund but it ruined a good part of the day.
Absolutely beautiful tour of our new favorite city. Elodie was a knowledgeable, personable guide who highlighted the details and hidden gems of Quebec City. I even navigated the cobblestone in my motorized wheelchair with her guidance to find the smoothest path without missing any of the best views. Thanks for making our trip so memorable!
Madeleine was very friendly and communicative prior to the tour. However she too often said "we could do this, we could see that if you want". We are new to Quebec City and thus we rely on a tour guide to specifically tell us what we *should* see and do. I am handicapped and while she was quite patient with me, we were perplexed by her suggestion that we take public transportation from our hotel to the old city. She had quite abit of knowledge but she lacked an organized schedule; perhaps that works for some people, but we expected something more organized.
Guy was excellent guide. He shared history and stories with some humor. Was the perfect walking pace.
Our guide was helpful and knowledgeable. She had tons of suggestions and gave dinner recommendations too
We wanted to get a good overview of Quebec City upon our arrival. Elodie delivered. She took us everywhere in the city and more. She was very informative and friendly. Highly recommend this tour!
It is a nice and short walk, it was somewhat cold to be prepared for the weather. The guide speaks Spanish and English well!
I spent a fantastic time with Patricia. She was very knowledgeable, very personable and had a great sense of humor. I can recommend her very highly
Benoit loves his city and is very knowledgeable about it. Great for us newcomers. He gave us lots of history.
