The Incas left a legacy that has lived on for centuries and the Q’eswachaka bridge is definitely the perfect example of it! This 29-meter-long wooden bridge is renovated yearly, a tradition that unites several communities as it did over 600 years ago. Here’s what to expect: • Visit the beautiful small lagoons of the region and get fully immersed in their fauna and flora. • Discover a great cavern with important rock figures during pre-Columbian times. • Find out everything about the Q’eswachaka bridge and its renovation ceremonies. Tour Options
Itinerary
We will start this activity in the morning, with an early pickup from your hotel in Cusco. We will drive to the south of Cusco for about 2 hours. On the way, we will be able to appreciate four small lakes: Pomacanchi, Acopia, Asnaqocha and Pampamarca.
We will also stop briefly in Yanaoca to appreciate Pabellones Volcano, a little volcano located a few meters away from the road.
After a few more hours on the road, we will arrive at Qeswachaka, and after a short hike, we will appreciate a traditional Inca bridge made of straw, the last of its kind. Of course, due to its fragile material, the local villagers replace the ichu (Andean straw) each year. After our visit, we will have a break to enjoy our lunch box.
After lunch, we will have a very interesting stop on our way back to Cusco. These natural caverns were once an important site for the local villagers, as the stalactites on the cave form curious figures.
Finally, we will make a brief stop on Lake Pomacanchi to enjoy the sunset and the natural wildlife of the lake. Once we’ve finished with all the activities, we’ll return to Cusco. Drop off will be at your accommodation.

The landscape is beautiful, the place is very quiet with the sounds of birds that echo among the mountains. Our guide, Edson, was very attentive and even helped us with photos! Arriving early makes a lot of difference, we were the only ones taking advantage of the place.

The Private Tour to Qeswachaka (Inca Bridge) with Percy and Wilbert was sensational. The boys were attentive from the beginning to the end of the tour, in addition to helping with the photos, which were simply perfect. Very grateful to Percy, Wilbert and Machu Picchu trips for the experience.

Visiting the only Inca bridge still in Peru was fantastic, and the very helpful, intelligent and attentive guide Percy gave all the necessary historical information. Driver Wilbert also very patient and experienced with driving. I highly recommend the tour, the company and the guides.

Interesting tour. The bridge was a good adventure. Good experience. Beautiful lagoons. The cave was a surprise in itself, but it's not for everyone. It requires physical preparation for the walk and exploration of its interior. Driver William and guide Robert were exceptional. Very friendly, attentive and helpful. I recommend!
