Pure Trek Canyoning Adventure: 4 Rappels & Monkey Drop

Puretrek was so easy to communicate with. They picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the location. They gave a detailed safety speech on teaching us how to do the different things. They have complete control of you, so that is definitely reassuring. The guides were very fun and reassuring. This was the activity I probably had the most nerves for, and they were so good about talking you through everything and reassuring me. Once I warmed up they were making jokes and helping me let loose and have some fun. By the time it was over I had really really enjoyed it and would absolutely book it again. When we were finished they took us back to their base camp where they served us lunch and showed us the pictures and videos they took. The lunch was great and we purchased the pictures and videos! 10/10 would recommend!

On a trip full of high-adventure activities (ziplining, horse back riding, ATV driving), this was the most exciting of them all! I'm afraid of heights but I felt super safe throughout the tour and managed to conquer my fears enough to do both the monkey drop and jump off the final platform. The scenery is incredible: you'll go around and through waterfalls, between huge boulders, and hike some gorgeous rainforest trails that connect the rappelling platforms. Do note that you will be dropped into a 6-foot deep pool and will descend next to and through waterfalls, so you should expect to end this adventure fully soaked through. I'd strongly recommend bringing sturdy water shoes, as you'll be walking over rough and rocky terrain as well as getting wet. Since you'll need both hands to hold the rope and control your descent, you won't be able to take any photos unless you have an action camera or something similar mounted to your helmet or chest. They do take photos and some video for you, and the pricing is quite reasonable: for $35 you get access to the full-size digital originals of all of the people on your trip.

One of the best tours I have done in La Fortuna. It was super exciting and all the guides were super friendly and had great energy. I definitely hope to keep doing it WHENEVER I come to La Fortuna. Recommended 100% Pro Tip: in the low season it is almost like a private tour hahaha better to take advantage of these times

My boyfriend and I had a blast! Everything felt safe and the tour guides were great. We felt like kids again. Definitely an adventure and would recommend!

They were prompt to pick us up at exactly 7:30 am, we went to two other others to pick up additional people, that were on the way. Total of 10 people on our tour. Which was small enough to manage since there was 6 guides in total through out the experience. They took pictures to be purchased after that I thought were reasonably priced, since the shots were cool and had a video. The rappelling allows you to get out of your comfort zone, there were 2 girls 5&7 years old. And if they could do it! Wear closed toe water shoes or out door sandals with the toe strap , because you will slip out of your shoes and get wet. Bring a chance of clothes and towels. There location where they provide lunch , place to shower and change and transportation back to your hotel, so gorgeous and picture perfect!

Four older gals from Texas traveling together - all the employees and guides were very professional, attentive and super nice! Really enjoyed it!

AMAZING experience! We did the repelling trip as a family. Our 4 and 9 year old loved the adventure. It's intense, but the guides walk you through everything. Jonathan and Rudy were so patient with our kids. Can't thank them enough! Book this... You won't be disappointed.

This was so fun! The Monkey Drop was the best. Cold water, but so invigorating. Jonathan was a fantastic guide. The whole crew was great. Very friendly amd funny. Ours included lunch too, which was amazing. Be prepared for a vertical ladder climb and a few steep hikes, but we'll worth it. You don't want to miss this adventure.

The repelling was fun and the scenery was captivating. All the guides were great and spotted multiple difficult to see animals along the ride up. There is 3 big waterfall repels, an exhilarating Monkey Drop, and a small repel. Great physical capabilities are heavily suggested.
