The excursion starts with a short briefing to explain the proceedings of the day. We then go to our first stop: the Padre Nuestro Ecological and Archaeological Jungle Trail. Padre Nuestro is located within the area of Parque Nacional del Este just outside Bayahibe.
The trail has different pathways, ranging in difficulty along its 1.9 km / 1.2 miles. Sturdy shoes are recommended. The trail takes you through the dry tropical jungle, a landscape of limestone, butterflies and birds, as well as impressive underground fresh water caverns. We will tell you about the history of the Park and you can explore the remains of the Taino settlements, the first inhabitants of the Dominican Republic. You also get to experience the magnificent native flora and fauna, which is unique to the East Coast of Hispaniola

After a 30min walk in the jungle you arrive at this fresh water cave, it comes in perfect timing to fresh yourself and enjoy the crystal clear water. maybe you will even see some bats hanging from the ceiling, where they are used to sleep during the day.

When leaving the first fresh water cave we will take a more or less 15 min. walk back direction to our transportation. When we nearly arrive we will visit the second fresh water cave which is a bit more exposed and has beautiful crystal blue water and looks like out of a dream.

When we arrive at the river, our river boat is already waiting for us. We ill board and then enjoy the scenery ride up the river until we reach our farm Yuca Yena. While on the boat you can take in the beauty of the Dominican jungle and its wildlife.
On our Farm we will have a Dominican lunch and coffee. After that you can try out the Tarzan swing, go kayaking or enjoy the pool with a beautiful view over the river:
If you would like there is a guided food/fruit trail where you can try some cacao and sugar cane, with explanation on how they are produced.
Bayahibe

When arriving back where you got o board of your river boat, the bus takes you to Bayahibe, where we started our excursion. To end the day like a local we make a stop at the local Colmado.

Our last stop is the local "supermarket" or in the evening "bar" called Colmado. Even in the smallest village you will at least find one colmado where people buy everything and have a cold beer in the evening.

Lots to see, taste and experience
A very varied day! With an informative walk, a cool dip in the cave, learning more about nature and fruit, but also fun, good food and if you wish, a beautiful canoe trip!
Good, clear communication with Seavis.
They answer quickly, also just via whatsapp.
(you don't get preferential treatment if you bring licorice for the Dutch employees, but you make them very happy with that;) )
TIP: Visit Saona with them, definitely worth it!

Expedition to Cotubanamá
A beautiful experience that is very different from everything normally offered in Punta Cana. Truly experiencing the local culture, supporting eco-tourism, and enjoying other riches of the Dominican Republic beyond the beaches and the sun. Customer service was very good and clear. All activities were on time, the guides and transporters were excellent, the food was delicious, I learned a lot, and I greatly enjoyed nature. Highly recommended.

Amazing to get out and see the Local countryside.
Amazing trip to the local jungle!
We really enjoyed this trip. The jungle walk and Cenote were wonderful and the trip up the river to the eco plantation, lunch and hike were brilliant!
Take wet shoes, a towel and plenty of bug spray.
I've begrudgingly knocked a star off as our guide (Santo?) just gave up translating for my family very early on, we were the only 3 UK people on a full German tour of 21, he translated at first into both languages but then dropped off massively and quickly. We figured the majority out and Jeff was great and realised we were being excluded so took us 3 under his wing and helped but there were a couple of hours where we just weren't getting any information. I asked a few times and he begrudgingly obliged with a grunt. We had a fab time regardless we really truly did but we were a bit in the dark for a couple of hours!
The hot tub overlooking the jungle was advertised but not offered on the day.
Big thanks to Jeff, he was brilliant.

Regarding your experience with the language translation, our multilingual tours are structured so that all guests receive the exact same information in their respective languages throughout the day. We regret to hear that did not match your experience and are happy to hear that Jeff "took you under his wing". We will take the necessary steps to improve that.
As for the hot tub, its availability varies depending on the daily setup and operational conditions, like water availability at the Yuca Yena.

Do it, it's great !
EXCELLENT !
When you get to the office on the beach in Bayahibe you are greated by the staff and you can have Dominican coffee before the tour starts.
For this tour we had a short drive to the National Park then a 1km walk in the forest to reach the cenote. We had about 20 minutes to swim in the beautiful cave. Then an other 1km walk back ( different path ) to the bus. Maybe 20 minutes later we were at the start of the river tour.
Large "raft" with plenty of seating, many tables and chairs, a "bathroom" and music. We enjoyed the slow cruise up the river surrounded by the jungle. When we reached the end of cruise we docked and we had a great lunch on the raft. Food was prepared by the people waiting for us in the jungle.
Our guide spoke English, German and Spanish of course. She was great, we did a small walk in the forest ( very steep but short ) to reach the top of the hill for a great view of the river.
We went back down and most of the group went for a Kayak ride ( about 40 minutes ) and we went back down the river to the starting point. Took the bus back to Bayahibe and stopped for a cold beer at a Colmado.
My two teens ( 19 and 17 ) told me they highly recommend the tour even for teens as you have a little bit of everything in that tour.
Laid back tour with some sports ( swim in the cave, Kayak, tarzan swing in the river ) and the danse lessons on the raft on the way back ;)
Just go, you will love it !

Best tour!
Best tour ever! Everything was well organized and well prepared, from pick up to drop off. Our guide was wonderful and all people involved in the tour were great. It was a full day tour that included many good stops, the houseboat ride on the river was a highlight!!
This is definitely a tour I would do again, as well as any tour offered by this company.

Awesome Excursion!
Really enjoyed the whole experience - hikes were pretty easy, swimming in the cave was so cool, the boat was comfortable and beautiful views, kayaking also super fun. The tour guides were excellent and I really enjoyed especially all the facts about the native fruit and plants. A great mix of getting to learn some of the culture and enjoy nature, and I appreciated the small tour group.

Very successful, varied excursion - TOP
Very nice and varied tour. Relaxed hike in the nature reserve to a grotto with the possibility to swim in the clear water. Raft up the Rio Chavon along beautiful scenery and locations. Once at the destination there was food and drinks, a nice hike to viewpoints and over a suspension bridge as well as explanations of plants, fruits, etc. Especially a great SUCCESSFUL DAY

Great excursion!
With SeavisTours we and our friends had a trip which brought us a part of Dominican nature. With Oskar we had an excellent and expert guide who could answer all our questions. Our highlight from this tour was bathing in the cave.
The river ride, lunch and canoeing were also great.
We were taken back to the ship on time. Thumbs up! Highly recommended.

Truly amazing jam packed trip!
This was our first excursion once we arrived in RD and I cannot recommend it enough! We’d already checked it out on YouTube (like a year before) but thanks to Rosario and his amazing knowledge of everything we did we had an amazing day! We tasted cocoa,sugar cane,took a pontoon boat along the river,(optional cave swimming,kayak trip and Tarzan swing!),as well as a typical Dominican lunch…which I thoroughly enjoyed(and I’m the picky one!!)
