Privately guided Table Mountain hike

Superb experience with Binny for hiking to Table Mountain and a second to Lion’s Head. Always good advice to help us find our rhythm and adapt to our expectations. What an incredible day walking up Orange Kloof to see Disas - red and blue. Binny's wealth of knowledge, sense of humour and ability to pace a walking group of different fitness levels - this was my first big hike less than a year after a ligament replacement and I felt safe enough to do it - because of the way Binny leads. Orange Kloof is Exquisite. I could happily spend hours and days there! Walk - either all up or all down but definitely do-able. If you haven't walked it yet, give Binny a shout!!

Binny is great. I wanted to hike the india venster trail. I have never hiked up table mountain before and would highly recommend using this guide if you want to do one of the more challenging routes. Can’t wait to hike again with Binny next time I am back in Cape Town.

I booked Binny because we'd never hiked Table Mountain before so had zero knowledge of the paths and there was significant risk of low cloud making visibility very poor. We had intended to climb Skeleton Gorge, Maclears Beacon and then descend on the Cable Car but, on the day, it was so windy that the Cable Car couldn't operate. So Binny guided us on a wonderful alternative route around the reservoirs and a descent via the Constantia Nek track and Contour Path. Her knowledge of the paths made us feel safe and her insights into the history of the mountain and the flora and fauna made it a very interesting day - and she even picked us up from our accommodation! I strongly recommend booking Binny so that you get the best out of your hike and would have no hesitation in booking her again.

Binny guided us up Skeleton Gorge and across the back side of Table Mountain in an exhilarating adventure with panoramic views, beautiful wild flowers and native birds. Binny was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable about the history, culture and flora and fauna of the Mountain. She made the hike extremely worthwhile. We recommend Binny as one of the best walking guides we have had in South Africa.

We arranged a personal family hike up and down Table Mountain with Binney. What a superb guide she is. Before the trip communication was excellent. We met at Platteklip Gorge and walked up in beautiful sunshine. Binney explained about the history, flora and fauna and was great company and security to have along. Whilst the climb up was relatively busy we then went out across the nature reserve with lovely peaceful views and stopped for some lunch at the top of Kasteelspoort, taking in the spectacular vistas over the hiking trail down to Camps Bay before descending down. Binney was lovely company and it allowed us to relax and enjoy the walk without worrying about the route or if we had enough provisions (she carried some spare water for us too). Thank you for a wonderful trip! We would thoroughly recommend Binney if you are looking for a guide in and around this area.

Your thighs will burn! This was a fun and challenging hike - we are athletic and fit, and it was about a 6 or 7 on challenge level (1-10). Wear shoes with good tread, there's lots of slippery, sandy rocks. Also if you're going to book, do it with some flexibility, because if the weather is cloudy/wet, you won't have any view, or get to chose an adventurous route - which is why I gave it 4 stars, not 5. Our guide was great. Next time I'll go through her directly instead of a contract company.

Binny is the best tour guide! I had such a fun (and challenging) hike up Table Mountain with a group of friends. The views were breathtaking. Binny gave us really helpful and interesting information about the history of the mountain and its vegetation. We had the most amazing time. Thank you!

We made the interesting decision to climb Table Mountain in the strong wind this week and we were so grateful for Binny’s experience and expertise on our hike - without her I’m not sure I would’ve had the confidence to keep climbing! She picked us up promptly from our hotel, took us to the mountain and guided us through every step. She was very helpful with knowing what the best plan of action was in the weather conditions we had, and also was just really lovely to chat with for the duration of the trip!
