Experience the true flavors of Bali with our Authentic Balinese Cooking Class in the serene Sidemen Village. Immerse yourself in traditional Balinese culinary culture as you learn to prepare six classic Balinese dishes using fresh, local ingredients and time-honored techniques.
In this hands-on class, you will create:
1. Uraban – a flavorful Balinese vegetable salad with spiced grated coconut
2. Bergedel Jagung – delicious crispy corn fritters
3. Pesan Be Pasih – traditional Balinese fish wrapped in banana leaves and steamed
4. Dadar Gulung – sweet coconut pancakes rolled with palm sugar filling
5. Balinese Fish Corn Soup – a comforting local soup combining fresh fish and corn
6. Sate Lilit – aromatic Balinese minced seafood satay wrapped around lemongrass sticks

Yummy fun time
Super delicious food and great time cooking! It was only my friend and I for the class-basically private class with the entire family teaching us how to prepare the meals. Beautiful space and great food. They also picked us up from our hotel which was so nice.

Learn to make bumbu Bali
It is a beautiful place, quiet and clean.
The basis of the dishes is the homemade bumbu Bali, which is used in almost all dishes made during the cooking class. This is useful if you want to cook Indonesian at home.
Good to know is that the dishes all tasted a bit the same. And that a lot has already been prepared by the cooks in terms of washing, mixing and cutting. So as a participant you finish it: you auger the herbs, fry the corn cake etc. Nevertheless, a lot of fun to do!

We had an absolutely...
We had an absolutely brilliant time at this cooking class! We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the class. The family were so lovely and welcoming. We had a tasty tea before starting. We learnt how to make lots of dishes (all the ones advertised) including our favourite dardar galung! The price was well worth this activity and I would definitely recommend this activity to anyone coming to Sideman! Im looking forward to coming back at some point!
