Lake Sevan is the largest body of water in Armenia and the Caucasus region. It is one of the largest freshwater high-altitude (alpine) lakes in Eurasia. The lake is situated in Gegharkunik Province, at an altitude of 1,900 m (6,234 ft) above sea level. The total surface area of its basin is about 5,000 km2 (1,900 sq mi), which makes up 1⁄6 of Armenia's territory. The lake itself is 1,242 km2 (480 sq mi), and the volume is 32.8 km3 (7.9 cu mi). Sevanavank is a monastic complex located on a peninsula at the northwestern shore of Lake Sevan in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia, not far from the town of Sevan. Initially the monastery was built at the southern shore of a small island. After the artificial draining of Lake Sevan, which started in the era of Joseph Stalin, the water level fell about 20 metres, and the island transformed into a peninsula. At the southern shore of this newly created peninsula, a guesthouse of the Armenian Writers' Union was built. The eastern shore is occupied by the Armenian president's summer residence, while the monastery's still active seminary moved to newly constructed buildings at the northern shore of the peninsula. According to an inscription in one of the churches, the monastery of Sevanavank was founded in 874 by Princess Mariam, the daughter of Ashot.
Dilijan (Armenian: Դիլիջան) is a spa town and urban municipal community in the Tavush Province of Armenia. Usually called Armenian Switzerland or Little Switzerland by the locals, it is one of the most important resorts of Armenia, situated within the Dilijan National Park. The forested and reclusive town is home to numerous Armenian artists, composers, and filmmakers and features some traditional Armenian architecture. The Sharambeyan street in the centre, has been preserved and maintained as an "old town", complete with craftsman's workshops, a gallery and a museum. Hiking, mountain biking, and picnicking are popular recreational activities.
Haghartsin is a 13th-century monastery located near the town of Dilijan in the Tavush Province of Armenia. It was built between the 10th and 13th centuries (in the 12th under Khachatur of Taron); much of it under the patronage of the Bagratuni Dynasty. The monastery of Haghartsin, together with that of Goshavank, may become part of a natural site based on the state protected area of Dilijan National Park, an important forest in north-eastern Armenia. Haghartsin Monastery had a major renovation by Armenia Fund with the donation from HH Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah.

Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, passionate, making every stop interesting and enjoyable. Thank you very much again for our unforgettable adventure! Highly recommend Gira Travel to everyone.
Our first guided tour and the best. I storngly recommend Gira Travels to all visiting Armenia or Georgia. We had done 6 day 5 night tour to Georgia with our wonderful guide Arman. We covered most of Georgia and are more than happy with the trip. As we travelled with a one year old this trip was more than gratifying..thanks to Gira Travels. What I liked about them is they are very understanding and you can provide an itinerary that suits your requiremnt.( Not many travel operators do that) Very accomodative in that regard. They give you enough time to see and enjoy the place. Above all they are quite reasonable. We were also able to do paragliding and it was a subliminal experience. We keenly look forward to visit Armenia with the same Travels.
Excellent service by GIRA TRAVEL, highly recommended..Aram surprised me with his quick responses to all queries, honest guidance and seamless coordination while planning our quick 4 day tour to Yerevan from UAE. Armen was our allotted tour guide who did a wonderful job of taking us around, and being flexible on stops etc, also adding a homely flavour to the whole experience. I definitely recommend GIRA to anyone visiting Yerevan, if you are looking for a personalised troublefree experience.

It was one of the most beautiful trips - punctuality - communication - the tour guide, Armen, is the height of professionalism and cooperation - we spent a lot of time with him and he was cooperative and helpful - words are not enough to praise this beautiful trip
Had so much fun going to the Tzaghkadzor Ropeway and experiencing snow. Mr. Arman was our guide for the day and he’s really kind and knows a lot about Armenian history and culture. I really learned a lot from him. He was also very supportive in taking photos and he speaks English really well. He even took us to a secret place not listed in the itinerary!
