Private tour: Teotihuacan and Centro Historico

Description
Discover the grandeur of pre-Hispanic and colonial Mexico on this private tour with round-trip hotel transportation, designed for your comfort and a personalized experience. We begin in Tlatelolco, at the Plaza de las Tres Culturas (Plaza of the Three Cultures), where you'll learn about the three major periods of Mexican history: pre-Hispanic, colonial, and modern. We continue to Teotihuacan, "the city where the gods were born," exploring its majestic pyramids and the Avenue of the Dead. On our return to the city, we'll explore the Historic Center: the Zócalo, the imposing Metropolitan Cathedral, the iconic Madero Street, the majestic Palace of Fine Arts, and the impressive Postal Palace. A comprehensive experience that connects ancient history, colonial architecture, and the vibrant heart of the capital.

Itinerary
We visit the Archaeological Zone of Tlatelolco within the city of Mexico, it was a city founded by the Tlatelolcas, a Mexica tribe that separated from the Tenochcas, founders of Mexico-Tenochtitlan. Mexico-Tlatelolco was located on an island to the north of this city within Lake Texcoco. There was the most important tianguis in the region - and indeed in all of Mesoamerica - where all kinds of local merchandise and the most remote areas were sold.
You will visit artisans in the area where they will give an explanation of maguey and obsidian, with a tasting of Mezcal and tequila.
The Historic Center is the heart of the city. Located around the massive El Zócalo plaza, the area draws tourists to iconic buildings and museums, such as the art nouveau-style Palace of Fine Arts and the Metropolitan Cathedral.

This experience never happened because the pick up details on my confirmation ticket was wrong. I was charged almost double of the initial amount because it was just me. They refused to issue me a refund for their mistake. This shows what type of company they are running and not a company I would want to do business with again. If you are desperate to book this tour, make sure you confirm your pick up details immediately after booking this tour or you might end up at the wrong location like me with no refund.
We sincerely regret this unfortunate mix-up. You booked an activity in Mexico City, but you were actually in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA, 1,650 km away. The confusion arose because we have two Hilton hotels in the Santa Fe area of Mexico City. While our staff was trying to locate you between these two hotels, we discovered, thanks to a photo you sent, that you weren't in this region. A refund was no longer possible, as the entire experience had already been arranged for you, including the driver, tour guide, restaurant reservations, tickets, etc. Regarding the address error, it wasn't our fault, as the person making the reservation always has the option to choose their pick-up location. If you are coming to Mexico City, please contact us, and we will be happy to assist you.
We had such a fun time on our tour! Our guide was such a sweet guy and told us so much about the history and answered all our questions. The restaurant we went to had such delicious food and the shop nearby had the funnest staff! Everyone was so sweet and it truly was such an incredible experience for my first time in Mexico!
At Teotihuacán the guide did not spend the whole time with me. Twice he said I could go off by self and he’d meet me later. I did not know what I was looking at because I had no guide to inform me as I walked around the site by myself. When we got to Centro Histórico he quickly guided me through the sites as if he were checking the boxes. Terrible waste of time and money $365!!!
We are very sorry for the bad experience, Sergio Tuero is a guide with a lot of experience and knowledge, he tells us that he suffers from a knee condition so he avoids some spaces where he has to climb many stairs, he is a very old person, and this unfortunately it does not allow you to access all spaces. We were not aware of this situation but we will correct it immediately. We guarantee the correction from here on out and we greatly appreciate his sincere comment as this helps us improve, which is our main purpose. The total satisfaction of our visitors.
