Centro histórico Mexico City and Bellas Artes

Description
Visit the heart of one of the world’s most vibrant cities in the world: Mexico City. A vast living museum that holds incredible secrets from the past. We’ll explain the city’s history, starting from when it was a lake, and tell you how a great empire was built upon this body of water until it became the city it is today. We’ll show you the most important ceremonial temple of the Mexicas, the indigenous people who conquered the Valley of Mexico. We’ll pass by the Metropolitan Cathedral, built by the Spanish Crown for the evangelisation of the natives after the Conquest. We’ll show you hidden gems such as the Gran Hotel de la Ciudad de México, traditional sweet shops, bakeries and old pharmacies, the Casa de los Azulejos, the Palacio Postal, the Palacio de Bellas Artes, the MUNAL and other treasures. We’ll show you iconic spots, but also places we’ve discovered ourselves and would love to share with you.

We had the most wonderful experience with Laila. She was so sweet and kind, even purchased us souvenirs as a thank you. She had beautiful English and most of all was very knowledgeable and had the best energy. She built her time around our preferences and in fact gave us a lot of extra time. It was such a perfect day and highlight of our trip. See if you can get her as your guide.
What a great company and excellent tour guide. Very accommodating to our changing schedule during our trip and they really did a great job working with us. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Laila was an amazing tour guide. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a memorable tour.
Laila is a wonderful host and very knowledgeable guide. We very much enjoyed our time with her. We highly recommend having Laila as your guide!
It was already our second tour with Laila (after the exploration tour of Roma & Condesa). Laila showed us many hidden treasures in the historic center, in addition to the well-known sights, that we would never have seen on our own. Moreover, she conveyed Mexican history and culture excellently with her charming manner and her solid knowledge. Absolutely recommendable! Best service we have ever had
My wife and I had a wonderful tour by Laila! Her passion, knowledge and enthusiasm made this experience that much better.
Laila is a treasure. We had a lot of fun exploring the city's Historic Centro with her, as well as getting lots of background information. Many thanks to Laila!
We’re very pleased we took this fascinating tour of Mexico City’s historic and dynamic historic centre. Our guide Jorge did an excellent job of guiding us through not only places we expected to see (Zocalo Square; the Cathedral; Palacio de Bellas Artes), but also places and things we might never have discovered on our own (a patisserie; a confectionery; the magnificent stained-glass ceiling of one of the city’s largest department store; and much more). Thanks to Jorge, we now have a much greater appreciation of life in Mexico City and an even stronger desire to visit again to see and experience more of this great city.
Laila was a very informative and fun tour guide! Had a lot of information on all the sites.Definitely recommend tour to everyone.
We had a wonderful experience exploring downtown Mexico City and learning about its rich and complex history from our guide David. David has an unmatched knowledge of the history of not only Mexico City and the sites we visited but also of the country as a whole. He added so much great context that brought the various sites to life and enriched our understanding and appreciation of what we were seeing. He is very friendly, kind and curious about our home - Canada - and our experiences and perspectives. It made for really great conversation throughout the day. When David heard how much we loved the Frida Kahlo museum, he thoughtfully added an additional stop to our tour which ended up being a real highlight. He took us to Museo Vivo del Muralismo, an incredible space (with free entrance at the time we visited!) filled with an amazing collection of murals telling different stories of Mexico's culture and history. David took the time to explain each piece in great detail, which added important context that made us appreciate the pieces that much more. If you're a fan or interested in learning more about Diego Rivera, this is a great place to visit, especially if you can also benefit from David's knowledge! We highly recommend David who was an exceptional guide across the board!
