Private Tour of Ring of Kerry & Valentia Island

Our Ring of Kerry tour with Ted was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland! He was communicative, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about County Kerry and the Ring of Kerry. He was also such a great person to spend the day with — funny, easy to talk to, and full of interesting stories and fun facts. He took us to some amazing places, including Valentia Island, the Kerry Cliffs, and Kells Sheepdogs, along with plenty of other great stops. The whole experience felt personal and thoughtfully planned, and we really felt like we got to see the best of the Ring of Kerry. It’s clear that Ted genuinely cares about making the experience memorable for his guests. We’d recommend him to anyone visiting County Kerry. Five stars!

Ted was a great host. He shared a lot of stories, history and took us to some amazing places! The Ring of Kerry exceeded our expectations! We highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling here for the first time. We are also glad we decided to not drive this ourselves….the roads are very windy and not having to drive gave everyone an opportunity to see the beautiful landscape.

Very long day but it was a good time. Ted knew everything and everyone and going to his island and seeing his home, where he grew up was lovely. It felt like we were visiting a long lost friend, we felt very cared for.

Ted knew so much about every place we went. had great stories and everyone along the way knew him! The tour was fantastic and he took us to places we also asked for as well as places that other tours probably don't go or have access to. It was one of the best parts of our 2 week vacation in Ireland!

Spending the day with Ted in his red tour van was truly the highlight of our trip to Ireland. To get a first hand account of the life of an Irishman was amazing. The love of family, dedication to community, and knowledge of Ireland past and present was evident as he showed us the beauty of his Ireland. He even sang traditional Irish songs for us! One of the absolute highlights of our holiday to Ireland was our incredible day touring the Ring of Kerry with Ted. It gave us a personal insight that no guidebook our tour bus could ever offer. Another unforgettable moment was the sheep herding demonstration Ted brought us to — such a joyful and unique experience that we’re still talking about! It was an absolute honor and joy to spend the day with Ted. We only wish we had had more time with him! When (not if!) we return to Ireland, we’ll definitely be booking another tour with him to do it all over again. Wow! My family and I had the best time touring the ring of Kerry and Valentia island with Ted. He has definitely earned his nickname “king of the ring.” Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about the region- armed with a fact or anecdote for just about every structure on the tour- but he was incredibly kind to our family and had friend at every stop on our tour.
