Ring of Kerry and Kerry Cliffs Private Tour

We traveled to Killarney for a week long golf trip in mid August and were in need of transportation, as the majority of courses were an hour plus away. John was prompt in his response assuring us he could handle the itinerary and he delivered everything and more. John is a class act, a great driver and an even better person. He has great knowledge of the area and history of Ireland which he will share during your travels- it makes the trip that much more enjoyable. If you are headed to Ireland and are in need of transportation, John will deliver!

Incredible! Our driver , John O’Reilly was amazing. He drove us to Valentina Island, Cliffs of Kerry, Ring forts, all along the Ring of Kerry with multiple stops for viewing and photo taking. He shared many stories, folklore and history throughout the day. What a pleasure to take the trek anxiety free while he drove so we could take it all in. I cannot say enough in words how wonderful and worthwhile he made this trip. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing tour, John is so knowledgeable about the history of Ireland and the information about the region. It was absolutely delightful learning about everything that we were seeing and doing. We are going home with a much better understanding of the people and the land.

We chose 10 Degrees West for a private Kerry Cliffs and Ring of Kerry tour after reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews about John. After spending a full day with him, I can confidently say those reviews were absolutely accurate. First, if you’re visiting County Kerry, make sure you do a full-day Ring of Kerry tour. It was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Ireland. The scenery is breathtaking at every turn and truly deserves its reputation as one of Ireland’s must-see destinations. Second, hire 10 Degrees West. John is the owner of 10 Degrees West. Having John handle the driving removed all the stress from a long day of sightseeing and allowed us to simply relax and enjoy the experience. We’ve had mixed experiences with driver-guides in the past. Sometimes they’re excellent drivers but offer very little insight along the way. John delivers both. Having grown up in the area, he has an incredible depth of knowledge about County Kerry and Ireland as a whole. What impressed me most was the range of topics he could speak about with ease—history, geography, geology, wildlife, culture, local traditions, and even food. Beyond his knowledge, John is a genuine people person. He’s engaging, personable, and an excellent communicator. He also knows all the hidden gems and off-the-beaten-path stops that most visitors would never discover on their own. Overall, it was an outstanding day and one of the best tour experiences we’ve had anywhere. We are extremely happy we chose 10 Degrees West and would highly recommend both the company to anyone visiting Kerry.

My husband and I experienced Ireland for the first time with dear friends we’ve adventured with many times since the 1990s. Each one has been “one for the books.” Our tour with John was exceptional for these reasons: John’s professionalism, knowledge & lovely personality; and, the unmatched beauty of the Ring of Kerry & Kerry Cliffs. We spent a full day with John touring the Ring of Kerry and Skellig Ring. John was a phenomenal guide and was very accommodating, picking us up in Cork City early so we could make the most of our day. We had 4 adults in our group and the ride was extremely comfortable. John himself was a wealth of knowledge. Every stop was spectacular, including our lunch in a small pub with a cozy fireplace. We felt like VIPs touring with John. This was my third trip to Ireland, and I can say a private tour with is the way to go! Also, having now seen both Cliffs of Moher and Kerry Cliffs, I felt Kerry Cliffs are way better! This was every person's favorite day on our 9-day trip!
