Description
Enjoy a private 1-hour guided tour of the Colosseum with an expert guide. When booking, choose between two different Colosseum access options: REGULAR LEVELS Choose this option to explore the Colosseum’s Regular Levels with your private guide. Walk through the main visitor levels, take in views over the Arena Floor, and look down into the Underground from above. Arena Floor and Underground access are NOT included. ARENA FLOOR Choose this option to step directly onto the Arena Floor through the Gladiator’s Gate using dedicated backdoor access. Get a gladiator’s-eye view of the Colosseum and stand where the spectacles once took place. Access to the Regular Levels and Underground is NOT included. With both options, your ticket also includes unguided entry to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, which you can visit independently after your guided Colosseum tour. Please note that the Underground and Upper Levels of the Colosseum are NOT included with either option.

Your route depends on the access option selected at booking: REGULAR LEVELS - Regular Levels only. No Arena Floor or Underground access. ARENA FLOOR - Arena only. No Regular Levels or Underground access. The Underground and Upper Levels are not included with either option.

- IMPORTANT: After entering the participants’ names during the booking process, please specify in the “Special Requirements” field who the adults and children are, so we can issue the correct Colosseum tickets. Missing information may result in denied entry.
- You will need to pass through strict and mandatory security checks to enter the Colosseum. Expect to wait 5 to 45 minutes to clear the security checks.
- Please provide the full names of all travellers when booking. Failure to present a voucher with all travellers' full names at the ticket office prior to entry may result in denied entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
- Trolleys and large backpacks are not allowed inside, neither are glass/metal bottles or sprays (e.g. perfumes).
- Travellers younger than 18 years old must present a valid document or proof of ID
- Please be at the meeting point 30 minutes before the starting time
- This tour is subject to inclement weather conditions. If it is cancelled you will have the option to either reschedule or get a full refund
- Drones and knives of any kind are strictly forbidden at the monuments
- Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
- Pets are not permitted

Manola was so incredibly knowledgeable! We thoroughly enjoyed our time through the colosseum, the palentine, and the Roman forum. She was so patient and engaged with all of our questions and encouraged more of them! She was a joy to be with and made the stories of Rome (especially the gladiators) come to life!

Booked this tour for Rome, it ended up just being me and my partner which was great! Rosey was incredibly knowledgeable - we would not have enjoyed our experience if we did not book this. There are a ton of summer crowds, lots to look at- I would have been in a daze and not appreciated the history. It was easy to find the guides. They are all just outside the train station. Make sure to have your passport on you. For this tour- Rosey walked us thru the Colosseum and explained breifly about the Forum and Palatine Hill. The guide leaves you after the Colosseum to explore those on your own, which was nice. Great experience! Worth the extra $$

We had such a great experience with Bogden. We had 6 adults and 2 children with us and he was humorous and attentive to each of us. So glad we booked a Tour and did not just walk it ourselves. Aside from the great info, the line to get tickets was long and he had them when we arrived.

Great way to see Ancient Rome with a professional guide. We had headsets even though there were just the 2 of us and guide, but it was incredibly helpful as the coliseum can be very noisy. We were able to experience Ancient Rome in a much more meaningful way on a private tour. Definitely worth the price.

We met our private tour guide Sam right on time near the colosseum. He was very friendly and made us feel at ease from the beginning. The tour was filled with historical context and easy to understand explanations. He graciously answered all of our questions. He patiently allowed us to take pictures as he provided his presentation. There is little doubt that his presence vastly improved our experience at both venues. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who would like an exceptional tour experience…many thanks!
