Explora Watersports is one of the only watersports centres located right at the beach at the optimum spot for surfing. Our team are fully qualified and we have new equipment each year. We are a family run business who's aim is to ensure you have a great time on and off the water.

Fantastic Experience - Fun, Courteous and Patient Staff
I cannot rate Explora Watersports highly enough. I came to Essaouira with my family and was looking for a place that would offer a high level of safety and professionalism and I found it with Explora.
The guides spoke excellent English and were patient, friendly and great with the kids (big shout out specifically to Youssef and Ismail). I also found the staff to be really courteous and appreciated their desire to resolve an issue that we had. Really cannot recommend highly enough!
The only thing I would say FYI is that you need to be sure that if you book a kite-surfing lesson for kids you probably won't be actually going in the water in the first lesson.

Best Surf lessons
I have the pleasure of writing these lines a few days after my departure from the explora managed by Anas. The place is magnificent, everything is perfect, the service is very friendly, everything is clean (the wetsuits, the showers, the restrooms), the people are respectful. The most important thing is the activities we did; personally, I did wing foiling with Essaoui (10 hours in semi-private), he helped me progress faster, and my friend chose kitesurfing with Moncef (12 hours in semi-private) using a walkie-talkie technique. Now my friend only rents kites. All the equipment is new and clean, and the prices are reasonable compared to other clubs. A big thank you to this incredible team. See you next year EXPLORA ❤️

Amazing surf lesson with Ishmael - great teacher great vibes great lesson
I had such a great surf lesson with Ishmael. He was an amazing teacher and gave me really useful tips that helped me improve so much, even in just one session. I’ve taken a lot of surf lessons in different countries, and this really stood out in terms of how well he was able to spot what I needed to correct and explain it in a way that actually helped.
The whole experience was super chilled, everyone was so lovely, the equipment was perfect, and it was great value for money too. Definitely worth it. Highly recommend!! I’ll definitely be coming back.

Two days of great beginner lessons
I had 3 days lessons booked in. One was a wipe out because of storms. The guys are very friendly and super helpful. A great set up which was good value for money.

Great experience!

Catch a wave with explora watersports
I had an amazing first surf session with explora watersports the staff were super friendly and welcoming and instructor reda was so supportive and patient. if you are planning a trip to Essaouira I highly recommend to book your session with them you will not regret it 🤙🏻
