Surf Lesson in Essaouira

We had a 2-hour surfing class, and the next day we also rented boards, and the experience in both cases was fantastic. The condition of the equipment, both the wetsuit and the boards, is excellent. Essaouira beach is very safe for surfing, so we had a great time. I want to highlight the treatment from the staff, who were very kind and friendly with us; we even became friends!! It will be a pleasure to take one of your classes again :) thank you!!!

Fantastic! 2 super fun morning sessions booked at Explora. Professional and friendly service and communication in advance. Once there I received warmly and had very nice and especially educational sessions from Ishmail!! Recommended for beginners or intermediate surfers who want to work on their technique!

Explora were brilliant! We had 8 hours of surf lessons across 4 days for 3 of us. My 2 boys, aged 5 and 8, loved the lessons and my husband and I were able to take it in turns and swapped in and out. It was all really well organised and communication was great. Imad was exceptional with my boys and they loved the surfing lessons they had with him. He was patient, encouraging and got us all standing up on the boards. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the lessons to anyone.

I have been to Explora Watersports two years in a row, spending about a week surfing each time, and I honestly can’t imagine a better place to learn and grow as a surfer. Each visit I’ve become noticeably better, and that’s entirely thanks to the incredible instructors and the atmosphere Anas has created. Anas, the owner, is truly amazing – warm, welcoming, passionate, and deeply committed to making sure everyone feels seen and supported. The staff and instructors (Ismail and Aziz you guys rock!– and sorry for not mentioning all of you guys at Explora!!) are equally outstanding: professional, encouraging, and genuinely kind. What makes Explora special is the mix of people. The groups include different ages and levels, yet there is always something for everyone. There’s a strong sense of community – people cheer for each other, celebrate good waves together, and support one another in the water. It creates a feeling that’s both motivating and safe. One thing that really touched me was how sweet and caring the instructors are with small children. Their patience and attentiveness are beautiful to witness, and it says a lot about the values of this place. Last year I came alone. This year I came back and brought my family with me – and next year, I’ll be back again. By now, coming to Explora feels like coming home to family. If you’re looking for a surf school where you’ll truly improve, feel welcome, and be part of something special, this is the place.
