Cuteness overload!

We booked online and were able to follow the website easily. With the direct link to Google Maps, we were able to find the individual doors very easily and at the same time got around a lot and were in corners of Cambridge that are off the beaten tourist path. The Dinky Doors themselves were adorable, and the story created for each door is just precious. Something like this should exist in every city. I would want to collect all the doors immediately.

Operator response

Thank you so much for this review. We're glad to read that the app worked very well for you and that our doors helped you explore the city. We considered branching out to other cities, but this hasn't been concretised yet... Who knows when it might happen? All the best from Team Dinky.

Great experience

Really fun experience and got to see bits of Cambridge that you would have missed. Great that you can do it at your own pace in no set order. Only minor downside is that the interactive map seems a little bit temperamental at times and needs to be open and closed to re verify your location.

Operator response

Oh! Thanks for the feedback. We're sorry to hear you had some issues. We fixed a couple of bugs earlier this week based on a previous comment. So we hope this won't be a problem now, but it depends a bit on the phone network coverage. In any case, we're chuffed you had a good time in Cambridge, this didn't impact your experience too much.

Online map tour -solo

I bought the map online and it was not user friendly and hard to find the best route to see the house. I only manage to find 3 with my kids

Operator response

We're so sorry to hear you had difficulties using the map. We've tried to make it as easy as possible, but sometimes we had reports that it can be a bit problematic when the phone network is weak. If you contact us directly at hello@dinkydoors.co.uk, we can assess what the problem was and if we can help make it better?

Great fun - especially for kids

We had a great time walking all around Cambridge, finding the doors and reading about them using the online self-guided tour. The kids never complained about the distance they had to walk, but were excited to use to the map to navigate and find each next door on the tour. A fantastic activity for families and adults alike.

Operator response

We're so happy to read that you and the kids had fun. Often, visiting a city like Cambridge can be a bit boring for little ones. We designed the tour so that both kids and grown-ups can appreciate Cambridge's architecture and streets in their own way, and we're delighted it worked. Thanks for sharing.

Dinky doors on a bike

Fabulous way to take my son around Cambridge on a bike

Operator response

Nothing like a little bit of active tourism... and if Dinky Doors helped that makes us happy.

Delightful Discovery Tour

I accompanied my 11 year old grandson while his mum went shopping, on a busy touristy Saturday, on the tour. It gave us purpose and delight! His favourite was where we started, the Wonder Emporium, whilst mine was the one by Trinity college. The next day we found the Bean Stalk In St Thomas's Square - has to be the best! We have yet to finish, but we both loved it and send thanks and praise to you for making it so fascinating

Operator response

Thank you for your kind words! It's great to read that you had fun for multiple days, and enjoyed them. We take it you left some art in the BeanStalk? Looking forward to hear the rest of you adventures when you finish the tour :) xxx Team Dinky

Different, Fun, Worthwhile

I found searching for the doors a fun way to wander the city and take in its sites along the way! I found it whimsical and joyful to see their existence be passed and unnoticed by so many people, knowing I had been one of those people just the day before! Each door is such a treasure; so creative and well crafted! I wish more cities had this!

Operator response

Thank you: this makes our day. Welcome to the group of people who can now see the little surprises hidden in plain sight :)

Crazy dinky and fun

Or was fun living in a dinky world for an morning. We learnt lots and stepped through the doors to the other side. It was crazy time. We would definitely do it all again..

Operator response

Awww! Thanks! You definitely can do it again: your purchase is lifetime, so when we're adding new doors, the map will update.
