Cambridge University Tour by Alumni™ with optional King's Chapel

Description
This is the original Alumni Tour™ — the first of its kind and the most professional experience in the city. Our tours are led by Cambridge students and graduates who combine genuine personal experience with a deep knowledge of the city’s history and architecture. The 90-minute tour includes iconic landmarks like the Corpus Clock, the Mathematical Bridge, and King’s College from the iconic Backs. The tour is entirely outdoors, focusing on Cambridge’s historic streets, squares, and college exteriors. If selected when booking, your experience can be enriched after the walking tour ends with a visit to King’s College Chapel, the absolute crown jewel of English Gothic architecture. You’ll pass through quiet college lanes and back lawns where Isaac Newton revolutionised physics, Charles Darwin developed his theories, and where Stephen Hawking studied and found inspiration. Available in English, 中文, and Español upon request.

Itinerary
Meet your Alumni Guide outside King's College, on King's Parade. Your guide will be wearing an item of royal blue clothing—such as a jacket, scarf, cap, beanie, or polo shirt—with the heraldic symbol of Alumni Tours on it.
Learn about the fascinating story behind the design of this famous clock, noticing the details than an uninformed observer could easily miss!
Visit The Eagle pub—where history lives in every corner, from WWII airmen to the scientists of the nearby Cavendish Laboratory. With over 400 years of history, this pub holds countless remarkable stories.
Discover the place that put Cambridge on the map of the scientific world—a place that changed the history of science and the history of humanity as well.
Listen to your student-guide describe the (somewhat dark!) history of Corpus Christi College, and feel free to ask any questions about the College or student life
Hear about the reason why this is Queens' College rather than Queen's, and discover the myths that abound about the nearby Mathematical Bridge
Walk along by the famous College Backs while you learn about the history of King's College and how it is related to three different King Henrys
Home of some of the most famous Alumni, hear a student's take on the rivalry between Trinity and St John's!
Admire the magnificent profile of St John's College, known for its grand architecture and notable alumni. A perfect blend of history and beauty along the River Cam.
Get a student's perspective on the practice of the public announcement of grades, and get a glimpse into the particular traditions of the University of Cambridge while you hear about the graduation ceremony.
##IMPORTANT: this option must be selected as an upgrade of the walking tour ticket. Please, make sure that you select it. The visit of the chapel is self-guided at the end of the 90 minutes walking tour, and it is not supervised by our official guide. The duration of the visit is a basic approximation, but you can leave the chapel when you prefer.

Angus was a great tour guide, engaging and funny. We saw a lot of the Cambridge campus. Be prepared to do a lot of walking!
Brilliant guide called Evelyn who was an Oxford graduate and she explained the Coolegiate system in great detail, and we got a great picture of the ins and outs of college life.
We had a great tour- saw lots of spots around Cambridge and were provided with lots of knowledge by Evelyn who also explained lots about the university experience which was helpful to my daughter as a prospective student.
Evelyn was fabulous thankyou! Good luck with your fast track application!
Excellent tour by the very lovely and eloquent Evelyn!
This was a guided tour worth every penny! Alice, our guide, did a brilliant job giving us huge amounts of information in a seemingly effortless way with clarity, humour and a gentle pace. It was an absolutely fascinating introduction to this extraordinary university city ( my first visit) and so, in spite of the heat and crowds of tourists, our little group of approximately twelve people had a lovely time. Thank you very much Alice.
Evelyn was a fantastic guide. Nothing to say about that. She was impecable. But I booked the tour in Spanish. 18 hours before they told me the Spanish tour was cancelled. I couldn’t ask for a refund as there were less than 24 hours, and gave me the choice to join the english one. For me it is ok because I speak the languages but if I had travelled with my mum for exameple it would have been inconvenient. I told them I would join the english one and nobody answered saying it is ok or whatever until two hours before the tour started. I had a bad time because I didn’t know if I should go. Then it is overprice. Considering it is a 1,5 hour tour 58 euros is a lot. It is true it includes the en trance to the chápel but still. It is cheaper to take a free tour and buy your own entrance
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and I'm glad to hear that Evelyn did such a fantastic job on your tour, but sorry if the experience did not fulfil our standards. I would like to clarify our policy regarding cancellations and refunds. While our standard self-cancellation policy requires 24 hours' notice, that rule only applies when a customer chooses to cancel a confirmed booking. Whenever we are unable to provide a tour in the language you requested, the responsibility rests entirely on us—not you. In these situations, you are always entitled to a full refund or a alternative date, regardless of how close it is to the tour time. Did you explicitly request a refund that was denied by our team, or did you assume it wasn't an option due to the 24-hour rule? If there was any misunderstanding or if a refund request was incorrectly turned down, please let us know directly so we can look into your booking and make things right.
It was a great value for money experience. Evelyn was an amazing tour guide. Very friendly, engaging and made the experience very informative and filled with great stories revolving around the building we saw or the campuses. Totally recommend it.
Interesting and pleasant tour, also thanks to a guide who was a bit academic but knowledgeable and helpful. However, the very high price compared to the costs incurred (about €60 per person with only one place for which you pay admission) and the failure to enter (at least) the colleges that are open for free weigh heavily. Finally, it is annoying that, although it is called a King's College Tour, in reality, the guide leaves you at its entrance and the tour is to be done with only the free brochure available.
We saw the advertisement when pass by King’s College. It’s nice that there isn’t so many people in a group so that we can ask our guide lots of questions about colleges and Cambridge.
