Private Rowing Experience in Cambridge for Two

We are experienced rowers and wanted to try rowing on the Cam for the first time but only had 2 days in Cambridge. Omar was a great help finding us a boat and guide for 2 hours on a busy Saturday morning. We enjoyed meeting him and supporting his organization and mission to introduce more people to this wonderful sport. Thea was a great guide assigned for our outing, helping us launch the double and cycling on the towpath alongside us to give directions and encouragement. The river Cam is a beautiful place to row, and we were very lucky with the great weather although this meant the river was quite busy. It is not a wide waterway, and has fairly tight turns, with narrow boats and bushes on the banks, which makes navigation challenging. Added to that, we rowed through a Dragon Boat event, which had been scheduled on the same day. So, Thea was incredibly helpful making sure we were on the correct side of the river and not hitting anyone all along our 10k piece. Overall, we would highly recommend Omar and the Cambridge Rowing Experience - whether you are brand new to rowing or an experienced rower.

This is my favorite experience ever! It was so fast to get going on the water and there is nothing like rowing down the river cam. How iconic and lovely!

Fantastic experience. I bought an experience for me and my dad to celebrate my dad’s birthday. Dad is a very keen rower but I haven’t rowed before. We all went in a stabilised double. Omar was a brilliant teacher, very clear and great at explaining the mechanics to someone who’s never rowed before. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely go out rowing again. I feel like I’ve learnt a lot even just by doing one experience. Omar is very knowledgable, helpful, friendly and professional. I highly recommend this place for anyone who’s never rowed or who is an experienced rower. They’ll cater to your needs and make the experience bespoke to you.

I had the best time rowing on the River Cam. I had rowed varsity years ago so l was able to take out a single. Omar snapped some terrific videos and photos. I appreciated Omar guiding me down the river while he biked alongside me. Rowing was definitely a highlight of my Britsh trip

You could tell he truly cares to ensure that his customers receive proper instructions, especially for first-timers, and most importantly enjoy the experience.
