A green space, very wooded where a stream of clear water passes A centenary plane tree stands out and was classified as a Tree of Public Interest There is also the water mill that was restored, and in which you can still see the old mechanism for grinding cereals with the force of the water in the stream.

I find that this tour can be improved a lot. Too long in the car when the tour could be maximized and you could even enjoy the small town instead of just view points. Too long a trip for just viewpoints.

“Amazing tour! We were a couple which made it feel very personal. The scenery in the Monchique mountains is absolutely stunning, and we even stopped for a tasting of medronho. The guide Mauro was very friendly and knowledgeable .Perfect if you want to explore something more than beaches

We did a private half day tour with Mauro up to Monchique. Mauro was punctual and friendly. The views from the lookouts were great and gave us a great perspective on the geography of the Algarve which we did not have previously as had been based on the coast. Riding in the back of the custom-built truck was also a fun way to get around.

We spent very nice hours with Mauro. With dedication he showed us the beautiful nature of the Serra. The off-road ride was fun and the medronho and tap water were delicious. I would like to do a tour with Mauro again.

We took this 1/2 day trip in the hope of seeing landscapes and viewpoints - we certainly got what we wanted and more with some lovely little extra stops too! My partner and I both thoroughly enjoyed the tour, even with some rain the sights were amazing - especially with the bench seats and open canopy-style roof at the back. Mauro (our guide/driver) was very experienced and took us through some brilliant steep off-road paths. Also make sure to try the firewater when up at Fóia!
