Visit Kuranda Village
Admire the powerful Barron Falls from Wrights Lookout, one of North Queensland’s most iconic waterfalls.
Driving up the Kuranda Range and passing through the small village of Kuranda. Here we enjoy a short driving tour of the village, before continuing to the World Heritage listed Barron Gorge National Park. This is home to the famous Barron Falls, which makes for a great photo opportunity at the stunning Wrights lookout.
Leave the bitumen behind and experience an off-road journey through the Great Dividing Range rainforest. Discover ancient strangler figs and rare King Ferns on a guided rainforest walk with your naturalist guide.
Our last stop is Davies Creek, where you have the opportunity to take a swim in the crystal-clear waters. It’s always refreshing.
Finally, as our tour concludes, we head back towards Cairns via the Wet Tropics World Heritage drive on the Kuranda Range. We stop at the breathtaking Henry Ross lookout, before arriving in Cairns where you are returned to your accommodation.

Great tour of rain forest near Cairns. We did this as our Day2 after our Barrier reef dive the day before. We ended up with a private 1/2 day tour (booked as a small group but I guess we were the only ones reserved at the time). Knowledgeable and friendly guide, good drive around.
Lawrence was very knowledgeable and attentive to our groups needs. By far our best excursion while visiting Australia! Not too far of a walk from our cruise port and he dropped us off back at the ship! Very memorable day! Thanks Lawrence!

The water falls and the fig trees and the violets were beautiful. The ant hills were fantastic. The trip was excellent in all areas.

Steve was great! We didn’t have a lot of time in Cairns, so I booked the private half-day tour for my two adult, sons and myself. I am so glad I did! We saw highlights of the geography learned about the flora and fauna, and had a generally fantastic fun afternoon experience.

The guide Jean was really nice and he knows everything you need to know about the forest! The tour was amazing, with some great views of the forest and waterfalls!! I really recommend the tour for everyone!! We could also see some Wallabies near by! Great memories!

Our guide, Steve, was awesome and very knowledgeable about the tour and country as a whole. It is a very unique trip that allows you to experience the more suburban parts of Australia. My family greatly enjoyed the excursion and would definitely recommend!!

This tour is amazing picked up and returned to accomodation train up to rainforest lunch at the pub best hamburgers I’ve ever had stroll around markets people friendly and welcoming skyrail back was thrilling do yourself a favour try this you won’t be disappointed

My daughters and I did the half day 4wd tour of the rainforest and waterfalls. We were picked up at our hotel and spent the next 4.5 hrs viewing waterfalls and beautiful landscapes. Steve our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and very engaging. We really enjoyed the tropical fruit tasting as well. Highly recommend this tour.
