After exploring this idyllic walk through lush forest glades and the creekside valley, we enjoy a superb gourmet lunch, with choices of steak, barramundi fish, chicken, kangaroo and vegetarian. And then finishing the afternoon with a unique Daintree River boat cruise searching for the fascinating estuarine crocodiles and other wildlife of this World Heritage ecosystem. Itinerary
To begin the morning, we drive through lush and mountainous coastal landscapes from Port Douglas, learning about the history and culture of the region, as we journey toward the ancient Daintree Rainforest.
For our spectacular and idyllic wild walk, we hike through ancient rainforest glades and the creekside valley to a gorgeous, secluded waterfall in the Daintree Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, where we can swim in this pristine untouched rock pool. The walk is a slightly challenging 1 hour each way, requiring reasonable fitness and good balance. We go at an easy pace, sharing many fascinating details about the pristine rainforest ecosystem along the trail... We then relax and indulge in a refreshing swim in this magical natural Rockpool where we can swim right beneath the falls !
We enjoy a superb gourmet lunch at a hidden rainforest restaurant, with choices of steak, fish, kangaroo, chicken or vegetarian, and other dietary needs catered for. Cooked fresh for you by a chef from the best restaurant in the area. Enjoy a bonus tropical fruit tasting experience with your main meal, learning about the history and culinary uses for these colourful and exotic delights !
For the afternoon, we embark on a solar powered Daintree River Crocodile and Wildlife spotting cruise. Get the chance to see the world's largest crocodilian up close, and bring your camera for the wonderfull bird life on the estuary.

We can pick you up from your accommodation anywhere in Port Douglas or Mossman (Silky Oaks), or meet you at the Daintree River. Guests driving from Cairns - please meet us at Port Douglas IGA Supermarket ~ type "IGA PICKUP". We will ask you to sign a Waiver of Liability on the day. The river cruise and hike to the waterfall was a great experience. We were able to see crocodiles in their natural environment and the hike was really enjoyable albeit it a bit challenging in some areas. Allister was a fabulous tour guide, being very friendly and knowledgeable. The only negative was the tea house which we stopped for lunch. Stopping in Mossman for lunch would have been preferable.

Allister was such an entertaining and kind guide. He pointed out so many things during the drive and the walk - that really made the difference for me. And where do you get your own private lil rock pool by the waterfall in the midst of the rainforest? We loved the entire day!!

We just got back from the BEST day with Allister - we were picked up from our resort in Port Douglas and had a very informative and fun drive to the hike, the waterfall was unreal, gourmet lunch was at a hidden little restaurant then on to an hour crocodile tour where we saw heaps of crocs! Then delivered back! It was such a great day and if you are visiting you should definitely splurge on this one!

We enjoyed the full day experience seeing 6 crocodiles cruising the Daintree River, a delicious barramundi and tropical fruit lunch at a rainforest restaurant . We had a unique hike in the rainforest to a waterfall pool for swimming through a private property. Very well organised by Alistair.

Allister came and pick me at the resort where I stayed in Port Douglas. He took us first hiking in the Daintree Rainforest, telling us all about plants and animals that populated the forest and telling us what to be careful about, beside telling us stories about the forest. The highlight of this walk was for sure the swim into a secluded waterfall, which only Allister provides! Afterwards we ate at Daintree Tee House, where the owner explained us a lot about tropical fruits in our plates and we had a delightful lunch - I ordered meat and potatoes, which I highly recommend, besides being served the best fruit I have ever had in my life. The place was reserved for us only and it was a real Queensland experience, something I will never forget - the fruit above all! At the end of the day we went on a Daintree river cruise with Bruce Belcher & Sons, where we admired severals crocodiles and were lucky enough to spot rare birds as well. Allister also took us all back to our hotels and resorts.
