This place was built for military purposes but also served as a resting place for chaskis who carried messages or parcels from town to town. In the part of the hillside dehydrated products were stored, thanks to the strong winds the products could be stored for more time in a kind of refrigerator.
It served as a center of relaxation and leisure for the Inca and also had military purposes, a watchtower was found that controlled access to Cusco from the north.

It was too detailed guided tour. Guide was knowledgeable & super friendly! Each & every site he explained in detailed manner. For single person - I felt it was expensive tour just for 5-6 hours with $190; I would have selected cheaper available options! however the amount of knowledge one would get after 6 hrs would be too much! It helped me for my next 2-3 days at Cusco & other tours! I was able to connect the information that I received on this day with my other 3 days tour at Cusco/Machu Pichhu! I felt it was worth it!
