Private Grand Canyon Hike and Sightseeing Tour

We were picked up at our RV, so didn’t need to go to a meeting point. From there, we went to the best sites: hiked Kaibab Trail, enjoyed a custom picnic and saw John’s favorite lookouts. We expected a guide to just keep us on the right path. Instead, we were so pleased at the wealth of knowledge about the history and even the geology that John brought to our hike. He shared about the various types of hikes, rafting and endurance races going on, and he didn’t mind staying at our pace, always ensuring we were well taken care of. Would 100% request John at All-Star Tours again. So glad we didn’t go it alone. Truly an All-Star experience!

Our tour was absolutely amazing! The sights were breathtaking, and our guide was extremely knowledgeable. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch, and the entire day was truly unforgettable.

We had a great day with Patrick! We saw so many great spots and different views of the Canyon! He new exactly when and where to be for the best photo spots and fun little adventures. Patrick picked a great little hike that was suitable for the kids and the snacks, picknick and charcuterie dinner were amazing! So delicious and could have fed double the people. We can't say enough good things about our guide, David Spies. We have been on lots of guided tours around the world, but never have we had a guide who was so knowledgeable about every aspect of the area. David called himself a "canyon nerd", which was amusing and self-deprecating, but also totally accurate! David could talk about the history, geology, flora and fauna, native inhabitants--you name it; he had the facts at his fingertips. He also has extensive experience hiking and rafting the canyon, and while our day was deliberately tame, stories of his adventures were fascinating. David discussed the agenda with us in the morning, and made sure my husband and I both got the most out of the day. He struck the right balance of sightseeing--and as I was terrified of the drop from the trails--hiking for a while just with my husband. David even knew we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and surprised us with a cake and champagne to celebrate while we watched the sunset over the canyon. All in all, it was a perfect day, and that was thanks to David.

The views were outstanding! Our guide, John, was very knowledgeable and kept us well hydrated. Lunch was great and he took several pictures for us. A once in a lifetime vacation with our kids and an unforgettable experience.

Our guide, John, was a wealth of information about the canyon, our hike, and other activities we were thinking about. He took us on a different trail that was less crowded and while it was challenging he was super supportive and we always felt safe. This was our first day at the park and it was an amazing experience.

My friends and I did a private day hike and site seeing tour with Dave S. and we had an incredible experience. Dave was so thoughtful, knowledgeable, fun and motivating - he crafted the perfect day based on our experience level and interests and was cognizant of injuries, preferences and feelings throughout the entire day. He also offered such interesting insight into history of the Canyon and surrounding areas. Can’t thank him enough for making our first Grand Canyon experience so wonderful!

We have just completed a full day hike and tour of the Grand Canyon with Dave our guide. It was simply a brilliant day and one we will never forget. Dave is an exemplary guide. He is very knowledgeable, great company and couldn’t have done more to make it a special day for us. He took us away from the more crowded areas allowing us to find peaceful spots to take in the breathtaking views. He judged our hiking ability brilliantly allowing us to feel a sense of achievement whilst not being pushed too far. Dave brought a delicious lunch and, for the early evening, a selection of cheese and charcuterie meaning that we also pick nicked in style. All in all, we cannot recommend this tour and our guide more highly. It was a high point at the end of a brilliant week for us and we are very grateful.

We had a fantastic day hiking down and back up the Grandview trail with Dave, who's a pro in every respect—knowledgeable, friendly, engaging, and just plain fun to be with. First-class service from a first-class company with a first-glass guide. Highly recommended!

We had the best meal of our lives over looking the grand Canon at a private spot. Couldn’t recommend Ben Murphy and his tour company more. They took so much care and attention to detail with the meal preparation and the whole experience was a 10/10. We had an unforgettable experience.
