We arranged a family glacier hike while we were staying in Iceland and it was without doubt one of the best things we have done as a family. From the moment we booked, Julien the founder at Lilja Tours, was exceptionally responsive and helpful to any questions that we had ahead of the trip. Wei was our guide on the day and that man truly loves what he does and was so knowledgeable about Iceland's outdoors. We were exceptionally fortunate to be paired with him. We were a diverse group with varying abilities which ranged from a 5 year old to an leg amputee. Jon made the glacier hike not only accessible to all but enjoyable. He both went at our pace and pushed us along to explore the glacier. It was a trilling experience. We even saw and heard the glacier calf while there. A truly memorable and joyful glacier hike. The children loved mining for glacier diamonds and we all got to enjoy drinking like a viking and taking in the wonder of being on a glacier.
