An impressive landmark of Almaty and one of the main symbols of the city - all this is about the Independence Monument, located on Republic Square. The main idea of the image of the monument is the Golden Man, whose figure is located on the very top of the building and on the pages of Kazakhstan's history, becoming a distinctive feature of the national culture of Kazakhstan. In the center of the Independence complex there is a 28-meter-high stele (it is located between two tall buildings). A figurative composition is built near its base, which includes the Sage-Heaven, Mother Earth and two children on stallions. The Kazakhs have a proverb “Motherland begins with a family”, and these architectural elements carry this idea: the family is a solid foundation of every state. Here, anyone can get acquainted with the history of the country, described in ten bas-reliefs on the sides of the stele.

Kok Tobe is a popular tourist destination in Kazakhstan. Locals also come here for romantic or family walks. The complex is located at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level. A large number of people regularly accumulate here, because you can get here from the center of Almaty in just 10 minutes.
The Park of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a popular recreation area for residents and guests of the city of Almaty. In the course of the creation of the park in 2001, the main planning elements (avenues, boulevards, dendrological sections) were laid out, green spaces were planted according to a special plan. An oak grows here, planted personally by President N.A. Nazarbayev. The park has many flower beds and recreation areas with comfortable benches. An observation deck is equipped on a mountain about 12 meters high. The main attraction of the park is a multi-stage fountain consisting of five round pools of different diameters. In the center of the composition is a crown with a beating jet of water reaching a height of 30 meters. Around it are 12 medallions with the signs of the Zodiac, crowned with three-meter geyser jets. The main bowls of the structure are surrounded by separate rings of geyser fountains.

Daryn is AWESOME! He took me around to all the major sites, and was flexible with time as I requested. He also took me for an incredible jalapeño smash burger at Broadway Burger in a cool neighborhood. He spent some time working in the US for a summer and communication was no problem - his English is better than mine and I’m from NYC. If you book a full day tour, request him, you’ll be glad you did!
What a great tour! Jan “Jon” my tour guide was so young but his English was perfect, he had the knowledge beyond his years and super fun to be with. We hit all the places of interest but my favorite part was the GREEN MARKET full of stalls, local people and souvenirs. Couple bonus add on was the RAKHAT chocolate store, the cable car up to Kok Tobe park and a traditional dress up photo shoot with a Kazakhstan Eagle, and ride the local metro. Also by request I was able to eat at the traditional regional food restaurant SANDYQ where Jan has been many times and recommended what to order. Being a foodie Jan had made my day!

Although the hotel reservation had nothing to do with our company, our guide still took the time to speak with the hotel on your behalf in an effort to help. The hotel declined your request. Before the tour even began, we had already provided you with a discounted price after discussing all the tour details in advance. Throughout the trip, our team genuinely went above and beyond to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. Our guide helped with your luggage, even though this is not part of our standard service. We added complimentary stops, extended your airport transfer by more than two hours so you could visit the Green Bazaar, and happily accommodated additional requests whenever possible. When one of the planned locations became inaccessible because the road was officially closed due to safety concerns, we didn’t simply cancel that part of the itinerary. Instead, we arranged an alternative visit to the Botanical Garden at your request and covered all entrance tickets ourselves, even though the admission fees for the original location had already been paid by our company. Our goal was to make sure your day remained just as enjoyable despite circumstances beyond anyone’s control. After all of these additional efforts, you requested a full refund for that specific day. We respectfully declined because the tour had still been fully delivered with an alternative program, complimentary additions, and extra services that were never part of the original booking. I recently booked four tours with Qoshqeldin tour company in Kazakhstan, and my experience was outstanding. As a solo traveler, I found the personalized touch invaluable, with each tour uniquely tailored to my preferences. The tours included the city tour, Shymbulak excursion, Almarasan Gorge, and a two-day adventure to Kolsay Lake and Charyn Canyon, featuring a homestay with a local family. During the city tour, we visited Panfilov Park, and I appreciated the opportunity to stop at malls and grocery stores as needed. The private nature of these tours, combined with clean, newer vehicles, made for a comfortable journey, and I valued the flexibility in scheduling. My Shymbulak tour was pretty cool and I got to explore with the owner, Ali. We had lunch at a mountain resort and captured stunning photos in traditional Kazakh attire with a Berkut eagle. Ali was incredibly responsive via WhatsApp, always available to answer my questions and provide detailed itineraries that could be customized. For my other tours, I had the pleasure of traveling with Jangir, who was an exceptional guide. His English was excellent, and he was knowledgeable about the region's history and culture. Jangir made the long drives enjoyable with engaging conversations, music, and humor. He even assisted me in visiting a local doctor before our Kolsay Lake and Charyn Canyon tour, which I greatly appreciated. One highlight was my tour to the Green Bazaar, where I tried several local items, leaving with bags full of treats. We also visited a mosque, where I felt welcomed as an observer during prayers. Later, Jangir introduced me to a local noodle shop where I tried the langman dish—so delicious that I had it three more times! Our trip to Almarasan Gorge was another highlight, featuring a leisurely hike that allowed us to soak in the serene surroundings. I dressed in traditional Kazakh attire again for more photos with Berkut eagles. The overnight tour to Kolsay Lakes and Charyn Canyon, where I opted for a homestay, offered an authentic glimpse into local life. While the drive was longer, the views were stunning. In hindsight, I would choose a yurt stay for a more immersive experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour company for anyone looking to explore Kazakhstan. Their personalized service, knowledgeable guides, and flexibility in planning create unforgettable adventures. I look forward to more tours with this company in the future!

I had full Kazakhstan trip for 5 days with Mr. Ali organised Guide Mr. Vadim. The experience with the arrangements made by Mr. Ali was excellent and reasonable prices.
