Want to visit the Cinque Terre but have limited mobility or stamina? With our private Easy Cinque Terre & Pisa excursion you can! Plus: KIDS 12 AND UNDER TOUR FOR FREE. Our driver will pick you up right at the ship. We will visit Portovenere, Vernazza and Corniglia -- three of the most beautiful and indicative places in the Cinque Terre area. We've selected them because they're quite flat, so they're manageable even for those who use mobility aids. At the end of the day we'll make a quick stop in Pisa. Taking the ferry to travel from Portovenere to Vernazza is an option (extra cost). IMPORTANT NOTES: In Italy drivers can share information while you are in the vehicle but are NOT permitted to go with you once leave the vehicle. Local licensed guides who can accompany you on foot are available for additional cost. The Easy Cinque itinerary is NOT customizable. The villages to be visited are Portovenere, Vernazza, and Corniglia. Kindly do not ask to substitute or add villages.

The history of Portovenere is long and interesting, dating back to the 1st Century BC, but most folks simply enjoy it for its charm. The main attractions are the imposing 13th Century church of St. Peter with its striking black and white stripes, and the colorful row houses along the marina that make one think of Portofino. Literature lovers will remember that Lord Byron swam across the gulf of La Spezia from the grotto now named after him to visit Percy Bysshe Shelley in 1822. Portovenere has evolved from fishing community during Roman times to base of the Byzantine fleet after the fall of the Western Roman Empire to gateway to Cinque Terre today: a living picture postcard of lush green terrain set against the brilliant blue sea.
Vernazza is perhaps the most popular of the Cinque Terre villages. The marina area is very lively, with lots of terraces where you can enjoy a refreshment or snack. You will likely be in Vernazza at lunch time (depends on pickup time), and there are many good restaurants featuring seafood and the excellent local white wine. The main street in Vernazza is a great place to shop or pause for some gelato (ice cream). For architectural points of interest there's Castello Doria, Vernazza's medieval fortification. Climb the Belvedere Tower for amazing views (small entry fee). Th church of Santa Margherita di Antiochia is also worth a visit: simple but very lovely.
Of all the Cinque Terre villages, Corniglia has best maintained its Medieval aspect. It's the only village that sits high on the cliffs, not reachable by ferry. The narrow streets are pleasant to stroll, and some good gelato (ice cream) can be found in Corniglia. There are some lovely churches, but the best spot in the village in the public terrace with panoramic views up and down the coast.
On Pisa's “Campo dei Miracoli” you will find not only the Leaning Tower but also the cathedral, baptistery and cemetery, which are all remarkable monuments. If you'd like to enter the campo santo or the baptistery for the acoustics demonstration on the hour and half hour, tickets should be booked in advance. We'd be happy to do this at your request (additional cost).

In Livorno we pick you up and drop you off right at the ship. DO NOT TAKE A SHUTTLE! If the ship's staff direct you to the shuttles, find someone else and ask where the private drivers are waiting on the pier. The pickup time of this service is flexible; we will adjust it according to your dock time as necessary.

The driver we had was good, professional etc. The van was also very nice and the driver had cold waters for us. The roads were challenging and the driver handled them no problem, but this tour didn't live up to the description. We spent too much time in the van and too little time at the sites. We even didn't go to one of the locations since the driving took more time than expected. I think overall the concept of this tour is flawed going from Livorno all the way to Cinque Terre just takes too much time. Also I would not recommend this with teens. It should be noted we took a similar tour in Rome that was not only better time use wise, but the Rome tour was also half as much. One thing that Rome tour did was recommend and arrange a lunch place - this not only lead to better food but no waiting for a table which helped with the time management.

We were wanting to see the Cinque Terre for many years. We decided that this year, during our 42nd wedding anniversary it was a great time to see it. Our guide, Paolo, was wonderful! He was very informative, a great driver, spoke English and made it fun!! We will remember him always & recommend this trip to anyone who is wanting to see the area.

Incredible views and hit some beautiful areas. Our guide was fun and interesting and knowledgeable. Was also very flexible with timing and where we wanted to go.
There is no tour guide - just basically a driver. We signed up with what I thought was a trip to Pisa and 3 villages in Cinque Terre. The day before received a call from the tour company that we signed up for a tour out of the wrong port (we were on a cruise ship) therefore we would not be able to go to Pisa because of the distance- just the 3 villages in Cinque Terre and because it was late notice, we couldn’t reschedule or get a refund for not being able to complete the whole tour. The driver was very nice and courteous and did his best to answer any questions we had. The tour was good if you basically just want a driver - but if you are looking for someone to give you a little knowledge of the area and the sites, this tour is not for you.
Michelle, Thanks for your feedback. I take issue with a couple of your points, however, which I will respond to for the benefit of anyone who might be considering this service. The tour is advertised as having an English-speaking driver. A separate tour guide is not included. The basic information that your driver gave you is really all you need to know. What you got was precisely what is outlined in the description. Seeing as you booked a service from the wrong port and didn't even notice until our fleet manager caught the error, it appears you might not have been paying enough attention to the information presented. We did not have any discussion about rescheduling, which I suppose is only logical, seeing as you're on a cruise ship. I don't know what sort of refund you would have expected. It was you who made the mistake when you made your booking; you booked Easy Cinque Terre & Pisa from LIVORNO, but we don't offer that service from La Spezia. We substituted the closest thing, after we discussed it and you were in agreement. I don't see how we can be found at fault with respect to this. Because time was short, I suggested keeping your booking as it was instead of going through all the girations to cancel and rebook it through Viator. I made the adjustments on our side, saving you a bunch of time and hassle. It also saved you money, as I explained to you on the phone. In light of the fact that we bent over backward to rectify an error that was not ours in a satisfactory way -- with your consent , and in a way that also saved you time, hassle, and money -- I have to confess I'm a bit perplexed by your review, but I thank you again for the opportunity to have an exchange that might benefit the next client. Fernando, our driver, was excellent, getting us to the sites quickly and efficiently. Was very accommodating to all our requests. The tour was great, with very picturesque locations. The whole family really enjoyed the experience, would definitely recommend.
A lot of incline walking up and down and cobblestone roads did not make for easy travel for two elderly relatives (and Easy was the reason we chose this for a family tour.)
