The tour company canceled this tour on us without providing us any reason, and at short notice (less than 2 weeks from our travel date). We are now struggling to find another tour. We had booked this tour well in advance, so they've really left us in the lurch and with no explanation. Unprofessional.
Good afternoon, I apologize for the situation here. As I explained in my email/message, I had a last minute family emergency that I needed to attend to and regrettably had to cancel this tour. I sincerely hope you still had a great day in Tokyo regardless, and if you ever come back to Japan, I can organize a special private tour for you and your family. This sort of emergency does not happen very often and I apologize that it just so happened the week you were planning to join me on my tour. Again, if you ever need a guide in Tokyo again, please reach out. Ken
I had been traveling for business in Asia for two weeks and had one day to play tourist. I located Ken through Trip Advisor and checked the reviews and I could not have been more pleased! I can't believe how much we saw and discussed in the 5+ hours we had. We saw old and new and it brought into full spectrum all that Tokyo had to offer. Ken had a vast amount of knowledge and was great at explaining customs and history. If back in Tokyo again, I'll sign up for another tour!
Ken is very friendly and knowledgable, he picked us up from our hotel on our first day in Tokyo and showed us many significant sites, using train and walking. He catered to our needs and we greatly benefitted from his interest in history and his thoughtful and individualised guidance. Thoroughly recommend
Fantastic fast paced friendly host. We saw ALOT in 6 hours and really left the day feeling like we had a great experience. Cause we packed in so much we felt a lot more comfortable knowing customs after spending time with Ken. He has perfect English and makes everything easy with super knowledge.
Had the pleasure of Ken as my guide for a full day around Asakusa and Ueno. Lots of communication before hand to draw up a great itinerary which was diverse, fun and interesting. From temples and shrines, parks and areas like Akihabara which I thought wouldn't be for me but I loved playing on the retro 1980s Space Invader machine. Lunch was also excellent and we managed a bit of shopping along the way too. All in all, fab day, highly recommended Ken for any tour.
At the end of our Japan-experience Ken was able to fill some of our gaps, answer questions on history and also daily life. In addition he made us aware of further corners worth going so that we definitely have to come back. Thanks for this nice Monday morning!
I spent a whole day in Tokyo with Ken as a guide. It was my first visit to Japan. It was fantastic, he is really well informed, knows everything about the city and its people, adjusts the tour depending on your interests and follows your own pace, considering the temples and shrines and the modern city as well. He teached me how to move around, what to look for, gives you advice on what to do and explore on the rest of your visit! I have had many tour guides, and for sure Ken has been the absolute best.
He listened carefully to my wishes and previously booked events and planned his tour around it. His selection of points of interest were spot on. If you contact Ken, he will not disappoint. He is courteous, knowledgeable and friendly.
Such a delightful young man who translated our tour. He guided us on trains to purchase anime figures and then to the Asaksa temple.
Our full day walking tour of Tokyo with Ken as our guide was excellent. We found it a great way to get a feel for the variety of streets, districts & aspects of Tokyo. Riding the subway & train systems was fun, with Ken to accompany us & familiarise us with it. It was a very good & interesting day, visiting the sites we requested & those he suggested as well. I would certainly recommend Ken’s tour to anyone interested in seeing Tokyo on a private walking tour. J & B. Australia
