Meet your knowledgeable guide and driver at your hotel lobby and discuss your Shanghai things-to-do list with your guide. Of course, your knowledgeable guide will give you some suggestions, and he or she will customize your day based on your needs and interests. Typically start your sightseeing tour from Yuyuan garden, a beautifully preserved garden that dates back over 400 years. Spend your relax morning strolling around the ancient house with delicate pavilions, corridors, ponds, rockeries, walkways and lush green trees. Enjoy the picturesque view and hear the rich history from your professional guide (Please Note: Yuyuan garden close on Monday).
Continue to Shanghai tower (632m), the tallest building in China and the second tallest in the world. From the top, you will have a 360-degree panoramic view of the whole city. Then, walk on famous Riverside Promenade (Binjiang Da Dao) to see the west side of Shanghai.
Other popular attractions to visit include the former French concession area, see the French style architecture, and take a nice stroll along the walkways with beautiful French trees.
Visit beautiful Buddhist temples -Jade buddha temple. Take a stroll at the temple complex with impressive buddha statues. See the monks and local prayers.
Spend your relax afternoon exploring at narrow alleyways between the old residences full of tiny shop, cafés, food store and bars.
Head to the famous Bund where you can take in the view of the city skyline, including the famous Pearl TV tower, World Financial Center, and Shanghai Tower. Take a stroll along the riverside and admire the city's historic colonial architecture. You can enjoy the splendid light show here at night. After the tour, your guide will take you back your hotel. We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring Shanghai with Jane, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better guide. Jane customized the day perfectly and made sure we got to experience both the iconic sights and the unique character of Shanghai. Walking along The Bund while she shared stories about the city's fascinating history and impressive skyline gave us a whole new appreciation for how Shanghai has evolved over the years. Visiting Yu Garden was another highlight, and Jane explained the history and symbolism behind the beautiful architecture and gardens in a way that made it so much more meaningful. We also loved wandering through the French Concession, where Jane pointed out hidden gems, historic buildings, and charming streets we never would have discovered on our own. The visit to Shanghai Tower was the perfect way to finish the day—the views were absolutely breathtaking, and Jane made sure we knew exactly what we were looking at as we admired the city from above. What really made the tour special was Jane herself. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, funny, and happy to answer every question we had. She paced the day perfectly, never making us feel rushed, and she even gave us fantastic recommendations for local restaurants, cafés, and places to explore after the tour. Every recommendation was excellent! This was one of the best tours we've ever done and easily one of the highlights of our trip to China. If you're visiting Shanghai, this tour is an absolute must. Snow was brilliant, knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel very welcome. We had an amazing time on this tour looking at the new and old aspects of Shanghai. The tour involve the Yu gardens which was a magical place. Our driver Mr Chi picked us up and dropped us back at the airport. He was a fantastic driver, car was clean, water provided. We had lunch at a traditional restaurant where food was great, highly recommended spicy chicken. All up a 5 star trip and we would recommend Snow and Mr Chi and we would do this tour ourselves again when we return to Shanghai.
Jenny spoke great English and had a lot of great facts about the city. The tour is customizable which is really nice, because then you get to choose where you want to go.
