Abu Simbel Temple
At Abu Simbel, travelers will visit the world-famous twin temples built by Pharaoh Ramses II over 3,000 years ago. The larger temple is dedicated to Ramses II himself and features four colossal seated statues of the king, each over 20 meters tall. The smaller temple is dedicated to Queen Nefertari, Ramses' beloved wife. Visitors can explore the impressive facades and step inside the temples to view detailed wall carvings, hieroglyphs, and scenes of ancient Egyptian rituals, battles, and offerings to the gods.
