Private 2 day Slovakia Tour

We had a fantastic experience with this company and would highly recommend them. Everything was extremely well organised from start to finish, making the whole trip smooth and stress-free. Peter, the owner, was very approachable and responded promptly to every question we had before and during the trip. His communication was excellent, and nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. A special mention also goes to Tom our guide , who was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful throughout the tour. He shared so much interesting information, was always happy to answer questions, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, the professionalism, organisation, and excellent customer service made this a memorable experience. We wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.

Thanks to Peter (and Jane), the best guide ever ❤️❤️❤️ In just four days, we explored six extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage Sites (including two in Austria), each showcasing a different side of Slovakia’s rich history, culture, and natural beauty. From charming medieval towns and beautifully preserved castles to breathtaking landscapes and centuries-old architecture, every stop felt like stepping into a storybook. Oh, and by the way, he’s not just an expert on Slovakia, he’s also incredibly knowledgeable about neighboring countries, bringing every story, landmark, and hidden gem across the region to life with depth and context.

I felt, somehow, at home on this trip, even though I’d never been to Slovakia before. Part of that was being in the country of my grandparents, but part of it was the care, comfort and attention to detail Peter, Jana and our driver showed to all of us. I went alone, but met and travelled with wonderful folks. I never worried about a thing! I will be going back this spring with all confidence my visit will be even better. This trip was one of the best things I ever did for myself.

Peter, of Slovakia tours, helped us organized a tailor made 10 day tour of Poland, Slovakia, and Vienna. We specified my ancestry villages and the desire to see the high Tatra Mountains and spend some days in a mineral spa. Peter did all the rest. He picked the best, B&Bs and hotels and restaurants and the most relevant landmarks. He arranged for all the admissions to museums and churches, and even helped us find a wonderful classical music concert in Vienna. It was a private, cozy tour. There were just four of us and Peter. Not a huge tour bus with crowds of people. Peter was relaxed, flexible, fun and full of local history. It was like having family or friend guide us for those 10 days. I would highly recommend this company. Considering all he did this is probably the Best Buy you’ll find for a European tour.

We had an incredible tour on two consecutive days to Cachtice Castle and Orava Castle with Peter, and then a trip to Bojnice and Cicmany with Maja. Both were amazing and very helpful guides and excellent drivers. Highly recommend!!!

Our 2 day tour was amazing. The first day we did all of the major sites in Bratislava. The second day we did Banska Stiavnica and surrounding sites. We would not have had the same experience in Slovakia if we did not have Peter as our guide. Peter is exceptionally knowledgable about the history of Slovakia and the sites that you visit. His input was invaluable! We learned so much about the country, the history, the food, and the culture. Peter will adjust the trip as needed and is very sociable and nice to hang out with. We especially enjoyed having a nice afternoon lunch with Peter and discussing anything and everything Slovakia. (Peter picks great restaurants and translates so you can really relax and enjoy your meal.) He is a safe driver and a kind, affable person. He will pick you up promptly at your hotel and drop you off in the afternoon. He and his wife Jane are very responsive to email prior to the trip. I highly recommend him for a tour guide in Slovakia.

Banska Stiavnica village was mildly interesting, but the castle visit was disappointing as it was a poor example of a castle and moreover the tour was in Slovakian without English translation. Ruzomverok Vlkolinec UNESCO village was good. The cable car visit at Stary Smokovec was abandoned due to inclement weather. Spis Castle was excellent.

Just had a wonderful Heritage tour with Best Slovakia Tours. Our guide Martin was so knowledgeable about all the stops along our multi day tour. He made quite an effort to make sure we got the most of every experience. My friend was overwhelmed visiting her ancestors villages and churches. I would recommend this tour group to everyone. Slovakia is lush and green with such a interesting history. My favorite was the High Tatras! Shouldn't be missed.

My husband and I recently went on this tour, and it was absolutely amazing. Our guide, Martin, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we were happy and comfortable the whole time. On the tour, we were able to visit multiple castles, small towns, and hike in a national park. It was, without a doubt, the easiest way to see this entire country in a short amount of time without feeling rushed. 10/10, highly recommend, and be sure to bring some hiking shoes!
