Visiting Porvoo was great. A little history, nature walk, quaint town with treats at bakery, visit chocolate shop and free time for shopping. The guide we had was really great. The bad part was the transportation. Our bus broke down, waited for one bus after another to have room to pick us up on the road unsuccessfully. Eventually guide ordered us an Uber ride, which was great. Then returning home, bus ride that was scheduled didn’t work out, so our group walked to another town and luckily our guide bought us tickets to get back to Helsinki. He did his best to get us there and back, but it took 90 min longer for this trip than we had planned.
It was a rewarding experience
great place to visit if you have enough time pick up was efficient and our guide entertaining and knowledgable, for a deeper dive the museum was an option, you get 90 mins to browse and wander this quaint place - recommend
Harry was an excellent guide. He had a vast knowledge of the country, Helsinki and Porvoo. We enjoyed the small group size and were delighted to find out most of us were leaving on the same cruise.
The tour of Porvoo provided a great contrast to Helsinki. It’s a very picturesque village was brightly painted buildings and interesting shops. My tour guide Rachel was very knowledgeable and did a great job organizing the group.
Nice tour, though quite expensive. Porvoo is a small town with a few shops, museums, cafes and a church. Our guide gave lots of information about it and answered all of our questions. Would have been even better to have an extra hour in the town but a nice day out regardless.
Loved Porvoo! Super cute little town with restaurants and shops. Wish we had a bit more time to shop, but I am a shopper. We had about 1.5 hours for lunch and shopping. Our tour guides were very kind, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!
Very interesting tour of this historic village. It was nice to travel into the Finnish countryside and our guide Francisco was very knowledgeable and helpful. We especially liked that this trip was undertaken as part of a regular bus service and not as a specific tourist bus. The directions to the meeting point were perfect. Overall Porvoo was interesting for a half day excursion.
A nice break from Helsinki. Learned a lot about Finlands history and the old part of Porvoo was very charming. The area is not that big, but still we walked through the Woods and old city. Paula or guide was the sweetest ever, her english was Perfect and so willing for us to have a good time.
Complete experience in an old city with a lot of charm that was really worth it: history, nature, gastronomy, shopping... Also highlight the professionalism and kindness of our guide. Thank you!
