OK, but not great.

Porvoo was over hyped. Light on substance, too much commercial. Not what we were led to expect. Guide was decent. Did not have all of the answers. Tour a bit on the short side.

Fun and informative walking tour.

Our guide, Sergio, was excellent. He even met us at our hotel. We especially appreciated his pace of the walking tour which was leisurely, instead of the "race walking" we have done on other excursions.

An educational and relaxing tour

The town is very worth seeing. History markers plus our guide’s informative comments were great. I travel to learn, so shopping and eating are mot my priority. But Porvoo has both, too. I loved the gentle waters lined with old structures, and the abundant summer wildflowers along the walk. A nice no-hurry outing. There is a lot of cobblestone walking, and hill climbing, so be aware.

Porvoo trip

Sergio was an excellent guide, we learned so much about history, culture and the people of Finland. Porvoo is a beautiful old city only one hr. from Helsinki and is must see. We even listen to a short organ performance in the old church.
