A great opportunity to try out several pizza places. Each one was a little different in terms of taste and offerings. At each place we were able to select the type of pizza that we preferred.

Portland takes pizza seriously—and this tour is the easiest, most fun way to taste the scene in one walk. You’ll hit four pizzerias on a relaxed route with short walks in between (about ~1 mile total), tasting a curated progression of styles and signatures. This is a full-meal experience: each guest gets a full slice at each stop (four slices total). Your guide keeps it laid-back and social while sharing quick, useful pizza insight—what makes a great slice, what to order, and where to go next depending on what you loved most. Pizza and drinks are included. Rain or shine, come hungry and ready to eat like a local.

Start your tour at a popular neighborhood pizzeria in NW Portland. Meet your guide, get a quick rundown of the route and tasting flow, then dive right in with your first full slice. This opening stop sets the tone with a classic Portland-style pie and an easy, relaxed start before the walk to the next location.
Fold into a neo–New York slice—thin, glossy, and baked hot for that crackly edge + chewy center combo. Your guide will break down what makes this style sing (fermentation, bake, and topping balance), then you’ll enjoy a full slice before heading to the next stop.
Go square and go bold. This Detroit-style slice is thick, airy, and pan-baked until the bottom turns golden-crisp and the cheese edge caramelizes into that legendary frico crunch. You’ll get a full slice here—rich, satisfying, and impossible to eat politely.
Close out with a modern Portland flex: sourdough-crust pizza—naturally leavened, lightly tangy, and blistered for a crisp, airy bite. Expect thoughtful toppings, big flavor, and a slice that tastes as good as it looks. Enjoy your full slice, snap a photo, and grab local recs before wrapping up.

This was so fun! And Eric was amazing! We had a great time and would highly recommend!
If you love pizza, you'll love this tour! Every slice was delicious and the pizza shops were really cool, I probably wouldn't have found them on my own. It was just me so we did three pizza shops and an ice- cream shop that had a nice vibe and unique delicious flavors! The neighborhoods we walked through were beautiful with many shops and eateries. Beau was the tour guide and he was very cool and funny, he also provided a lot of information about the areas and shops. I highly recommend this tour! Thanks guys!
We’re a couple of West Portland locals who enjoyed learning about the downtown pizza scene. No deep dish on this tour, but good variety of unusual toppings and stellar crusts. Got lots of insight and good recommendations for restaurants from Beau beyond the pizza tour. Nice neighborhood walk. Come hungry.
Thank you so much, Julie! It was a pleasure spending the afternoon with you and Matt. I really enjoyed hearing about Matt’s homemade pizzas—I hope a few ideas from the tour make it into your next pizza night! It was also great chatting about your work at the church in Hillsboro and swapping local restaurant recommendations. I’m so glad you both enjoyed the variety of pizzas, the neighborhood walk, and all the extra food recommendations. Our pizza lineup changes from time to time depending on the day, route, and group size, so while deep dish wasn’t on your tour, it does occasionally make an appearance. Thanks again for spending part of your day with me. I hope to see you both again on another AFK Food Tour!
When we walked into the first pizza place it looked so unassuming that we started to wonder what we’d signed up for. But then it was the absolute best slice of pizza ever! The next few places were also awesome, and it was very interesting learning about all the different styles, oven temps/techniques and how businesses in Portland fashioned their specific pizzeria. First time we’d tried Chicago Style and it was amazing.
This tour was fantastic.. Beau and Sebastian were friendly and informative on all aspects of each of the 4 locations we ate at during the tour. Being from Chicago i was totally surprised by how good the choices were for everyone. All for locations were different from Each other and the pizzas were served hot by the establishment. Each had it's own special pizza. Toppings I would never try on my own but now I would try them. Great tour. Lots of food and very friendly guides.
Bo met us promptly at first pizza place and proceeded to escort us for the next couple hours. We enjoyed walking while Bo shared information and answered questions about the area we were in. We learned about the history of Portland, and pizza, and ate our way through four different pizza joints. Bo is pleasant and knowledgeable. It was fun.
My son and I had a fantastic time on this tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend it.
Bring your appetite! There was a wide variety of pizza to try, some I would have never imagined. There is something for everyone. Every slice was great. Our guide was very knowledgeable and great recommendations which was needed because we are not from the area. This set us up for a great trip to Portland.
All of the pizzas were delicious, and the host (Beau) was very friendly and knowledgeable! We really enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely be booking more tours in the future.
