Itinerary
You’d be hard-pressed to find vistas as stunning as these. At the western end of the Gorge, the view from Crown Point is a front-row seat to the mighty Columbia as its unfurls and cuts through the Cascade mountains. From there dozens of awe-inspiring waterfalls spill from basalt cliffs, lining the Historic Columbia River Highway, like famous Multnomah, Horsetail, Bridal Veil and Latourell falls. The landscape seems to grow bigger, grander and brighter as it rolls east.
The view is absolutely breathtaking and it's one of the best spots to soak in a view of one of the most beautiful places on earth: the magnificent, awesome Columbia River Gorge.
The Vista House was built in 1917 on one of the most beautiful scenic points on the Historic Columbia River Highway. It was constructed to provide travelers a place to rest and refresh themselves as they made their way down the magnificent Columbia River Gorge.
Latourell Falls is a gorgeous waterfall that has the distinction of being the closest major waterfall of the Columbia River Gorge to the City of Portland. It possesses remarkable overhanging columnar basalt cliffs that allowes Latourell Creek to do a 249ft free-falling plunge with no contact with most of the underlying cliff, making it in one of the more unique such waterfalls in the gorge.
The 242-foot falls is a tiered type of waterfall, named after the Yakama word for "most beautiful". While not as tall as nearby Multnomah, it is no less lovely. We will stop here as parking and timing allows.
As we journey through the town of Bridal Veil, we encounter a place rich in history. Once the heart of a bustling lumber industry that thrived in the Columbia Gorge, this quaint town now hosts a small post office and a serene nunnery, along with other quaint attractions.
Named for its characteristic form, Horsetail Falls plunges 176 feet within view of the Historic Columbia River Highway's "Waterfall Corridor".
A waterfall as magnificent and memorable as any in the country is located just a 30- minute drive outside of Portland. Visiting Multnomah Falls, a 611-foot-tall roaring, awe-inspiring cascade of icy water, lets you experience the power and beauty of nature up close and with ease. Our visit will feature a trip up to the iconic Benson Bridge and a stop at the gift shop. However, please note that the hike to the top of the waterfall is quite long and steep, so it will not be part of this tour.

John was awesome and full of knowledge with a bit of humor. Learned a lot about history of area but the best were the views of the fallls. Highly recommend
Overall good experience. Our guide John is helpful and knowledgeable, and he introduced a lot of history and fun facts. Thanks John! A compact tour but gets you to see most of the beautiful waterfalls, and the group size is optimal.
Overall a very nice experience! Picking up from hotel directly is convenient, and group size is optimal. Our guide John is very helpful and knowledgeable, and he introduced a lot of the history and interesting facts about Portland and the gorge. It was nice to have such a great guide as him! We had a great time. Just to note: It’s a compact tour that gets to you see most waterfalls, but there won’t be enough time to hike or walk around in the area. Also friendly to people with mobility difficulties since there won’t be much walking!
Absolute blast! John the tour guide was full of info and sometimes talked a bit fast to get everything in! Great group of people on the tour too which really makes it great. We even had a flat tie which John and the tour company handled expertly, getting a new van to meet us in short order so we could continue the tour. Covered a few of the best falls in the area and a perfect amount of time.
We're thrilled you loved the tour and recognized our efforts to excel; we invite you to join us again!

Phoebe was very knowledgeable and friendly, and a courteous driver. We've taken several tours in recent years and she's among the best.
We're pleased you had a wonderful experience and valued our efforts; we hope you'll join us for another tour!
Well narrated by our guide, Phoebe. She adjusted the order due to the smoke from wildfires to gain a bit of view from Vista point and put in extra falls, SheppardDell. Plus driving, of course. Kudos! Falls were gorgeous and it was a lovely 1/2 day trip from Portland. One area of improvement, let us know pick up time the night before please. Please respect your guests time. Might have had a late flight or day out and being able to plan a quarter hour or half hour more sleep or breakfast on well earned trip would be basic courtesy.
It's fantastic to know you enjoyed the tour and our dedication to service; we invite you to join us for another adventure! You were emailed your pick up time 6 times - the first being the day you booked your tour and the last being the day before your tour. If you did not see those, please check your junk mail. All tour guests also have our company phone number. If you were not receiving the emails you could have called us.
Our driver, Jay, was very knowledgeable and seemed to genuinely enjoy doing his job. He made it a point to know something personal about each of the people on the tour. It was a delight to travel with him!
Thank you for your kind words; we're thrilled you had a memorable time and invite you to join us for another tour!

We stopped at three large waterfalls and drove by two smaller ones. We also stopped at the Vista House for an overall view of the Columbia Gorge. We rode on some interesting roads and our guide, Gunner, was a very good driver with a good sense of humor and story telling ability.
We’re delighted you had an enjoyable tour and valued our hard work; we'd love to have you on another tour!
