Description
This is a compelling, 2 hour, professionally guided tour of the City Waterfront and Port of Tacoma! Enjoy the 12 mile long adventure and sights of bald eagles, seals, Mt. Rainier the Olympic Mountains, ships, tugboats, bridges and the wonders of the secret passage! You will be shown the splendors of the wildlife, history, ecology and adventure on Puget Sound! We travel on a very seaworthy, ex-US Navy boat that is mostly open but has a covered area. Our boats and captains are inspected and licensed by the US Coast Guard. (Senior Age is 62.)

We enjoy spanning views of Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Mountains from the wide open but calm waters of Puget Sound. Ships, Tugs, Seals and Bald Eagles surround us.

See the 1933 Brown's Point light house and lighthouse keeper's house built by the WPA during the depression that marks the entrance to Commencement Bay and the Port of Tacoma.
Historic center of of the lumber heydays when Tacoma was one of the richest cities in the world. This is where there were 19 saw mills running a the same time along Ruston Way by the year 1900.
This is the working Port of Tacoma with all the cranes, tugboats and container ships in what is one of the top ten busiest ports in the USA!

Commencement Bay by Boat
A great tour of Commencement Bay in a comfortable open boat. The Captain is knowledgeable on the local history, as well as the current marine activities in the port. And the cloudy weather was perfect for photos, so don't worry about the weather.

Captain Ethan
Captain Ethan was the highlight! He was knowledgeable, entertaining and incredibly observant. He pointed out the wildlife that we may have otherwise missed, a bird catching and eating a fish, sea lions, purposes, and seals. We will definitely take another tour with this company!

Totally worth it!
A fun 2 hour tour with up close visits all through the sound! Got to see seals and ships loading and unloading! Bonus sighting of porpoises and lots of jumping salmon. Captain Ethan was full of tribal knowledge of the area and was very entertaining!

Great tour for everyone
We learned a lot from our very knowledgeable guides who were also very entertaining. We got to see a seal rookery and a bald eagle. I highly recommend this tour whether you are a local or visiting, as our group was a mixture of both and all of us loved the tour.

Wonderful experience! The captain is knowledgeable about the history and surroundings of the areas we discovered. The boat was clean, safe, and comfortable! This is my 4th cruise with Destiny and I will continue to bring visiting friends and family on these fabulous cruises.

Wonderful Voyage!
Fantastic Experience on Puget Sound! We had a wonderful couple of hours out on the water. The captain was knowledgeable and professional, and the boat was in great shape—comfortable and safe. We learned so much about Tacoma’s waterfront, the sound, and its history. The weather was perfect, and the overall experience was relaxing and memorable. Spectacular look at Gig Harbor via Boat
This was our first visit to Gig Harbor. Taking the boat tour seemed like a perfect way to view the shoreline from the water. The tour boat guide was knowledgable about the history and interesting facts viewed along the way. Got to see several bald eagles nestling in the trees as well as groups of harbor seals. Be sure to wear a hat and sunscreen. The boat only provides cover for very few persons.
