Mt. Rainier Day Tour from Seattle

Had a fantastic time on a Monday October'26 tour with Ken as our guide. Smaller group. No line to get into the Park. Weather was absolutely beautiful. Ken was on time at all of the pickup areas. We stopped at a Fred Meyer along the way to pick up a lunch that could be stored in the shuttle's cooler. We entered the Park at the SW Nisqually entrance. First stop near Kautz Creek trail, then near Twin Firs Trail looking at old growth trees, bathroom break near National Park Inn, continued further up stopping at some overlooks, walking to Reflection Lake, then arriving at Henry M. Jackson Visitor Center where we had two hours. Ken handed out simple trail printouts. There are three main paths here: right to Myrtle Fall, left to the lower Nisqually Vista trail and a central Skyline Trail which takes you to the upper Nisqually Glacier Vista trail which I recommend if you have the stamina because the views are amazing. Skip the Henry M. Jackson Visitor Center gift shop because it's mobbed and was out of multiple items. Another reason is that the next stop is a return to the National Park Inn area for 45 minutes. This has a larger and better gift shop here. There's also a suspension bridge, bubbling spring trail, museum and the Inn where one can relax and have a drink. Heading back, we exited the Park and made one final bathroom break at Orting before returning to Seattle before 6pm. Just a fantastic day!

Great trip experience with Ken, our tour guide! Multiple stops with bathroom breaks and grocery stop. The stops at Mt. Ranier were amazing and Ken was very knowledgeable and informative. 1st class all the way.

Our Mt. Rainier tour with John was an exceptional experience. John was warm, professional & knowledgeable, taking us to beautiful views & sharing fascinating insights about the area along the way. He made sure we were comfortable throughout the day & went above & beyond for us. We especially appreciated how thoughtfully he took photos of us at each beautiful spot, capturing moments we might otherwise have missed. His genuine kindness & attention to detail made the day truly memorable. We’re very grateful to John and highly recommend him! ❤️

This was a great way to experience the park with a limited time schedule. Our tour guide, Erika, was wonderful and helped us maximize our time in the park on a busy fall weekend. We stopped for photos, saw multiple waterfalls, got our passport stamped at the visitor center, took a few short hikes on our own and even got a photo at the iconic park entrance sign. I loved leaving the driving AND parking to Erika. She also was very knowledgeable about the park and I greatly enjoyed the commentary during the drive. Wonderful day. Weather was perfect too!

Ken was an excellent guide - Mt. Rainier is so beautiful - the trip was easy and we had the best day!

This is such a beautiful part of the world and it’s great to experience it with equally beautiful people. The tour guide was Chad and he was great. Something worth noting is the tour had people on it from across the world (mostly USA but still) and everyone got along really well thanks to the guide and thanks to the overall environment. 10/10

We had such a great day great ! Weather was fantastic, we have so many fantastic photos. Ken was great. We learned a lot about Seattle, about Mt Rainier, a lot about Washington State. Definitely worth the money. Plus, being dropped off at areas vs find parking, SO WORTH IT!

Erika was a too good host. Ensure perfect time allocation planes it really well. It ended well in time 530pm

Ok, this was a great last hurrah decision before our red eye flight. Definitely recommend Tours Northwest! We had an amazing day at Mt. Rainier with John! He has an incredible amount of knowledge and history of Mt. Rainier and the national park system. John took us everywhere we wanted to see & made every stop memorable. Thank you for a wonderful day.

This tour is a must if you don't rent a car and want to experience Mt. Rainier. Our tour guide, Erika was knowledgeable, very kind, fun and set the tone for the tour. It is a combination of driving and hiking, so it is extremely doable at almost any age. There is ample time allowed to see sights, take pictures, hike and rest. Even though the tour is almost 11 hours, the time flies by.
