Nice short but steep hikes with Susan, very knowledgeable of the area, great views of the mountain, enjoyable day

On this tour to Mt. Rainier National Park there is a lot of diversity from alpine environment to old growth forest in lower elevation. We drive to the highlights in the park and you will experience diverse landscapes and scenery such as glaciers, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and tall trees in old-growth forest. You will be on guided shorter hikes at points of interest. In the winter areas of the park may be closed some days and not all highlights will be accessible at times - from November to June snowshoes/crampons will be provided when necessary since there is often snow on the trails in those months.
From the operator’s live schedule on Viator, checked Oct 8.
We drive to Mt. Rainier National Park (2 hours) and hike from the visitor center at Paradise for about a mile where we picnic close to some giant glaciers. We then hike back for a mile and drive to viewpoints with panoramic views and we see the Narada Falls and the Christine Falls, old growth forests with a thousand year old big trees and the Reflection Lakes. In Winter and Spring seasons (November-June) we will snowshoe rather than hiking - no experience required.
Pick up and drop off is in Seattle downtown.
Alternatively, pick up and drop off is near the Space Needle, if requested.
We hike about a mile near the glaciers in the area of Paradise in 5,500 feet elevation. This is also where the main visitor center is located in Mt. Rainier National Park.
We hike to the bottom of Narada Falls - 168-foot fall near Paradise.
We see the Reflection Lakes where Mt. Rainier is often reflected in the summer time. In the winter the lake is frozen and the road is closed.
We see the Christine Falls under the old stone bridge.
We walk in old-growth forest in the National Park near Longmire in lower elevation.

Nice short but steep hikes with Susan, very knowledgeable of the area, great views of the mountain, enjoyable day
The tour was really nice and Susan know what she is doing. She is so knowledgable and professional. It was smooth she prioritized what to start first based on the weather. Also, she is so attentive to people in the group and the different hiking skills.
Day tour of Mount Rainer exceeded expectations. Tour guide Susan expertly led us to all the most amazing sites. Perfect weather created endless opportunities for perfect photos!
This is a great way to experience the park. Susan realized our group was younger and more fit so she adjusted by taking us on the entire Skyline trail up to panoramic point. There is no stress in driving to the park or navigating the winding trails as Susan took care of it all. She also knows the best lookout points along the way to stop at.
That was an amazing experience for the first time visitors of the park. Susan showed us the most notable spots in the park. We went all the way up on a hike with our group which Susan said she doesn’t do often since it can be challenging depending on the party. Our group of 7 was ready for it and it was so worth it!
Viator provided a great tour. Booking was easy, great communication. Pick-up was on time from the designated location, and our guide was friendly and knowledgeable throughout the day.
Amazing experience and very through guide.
Excellent, from the beginning to the end. Excellent trekking, great views, and lots of information. Our guide Susana was great as she adapted to each passenger on the trek and took the time to show every view!! Thanks, I highly recommend it.
Oliver did a great job guiding our group through Mt Rainier National Park. We got an absolutely beautiful day! The hike is moderate with some pretty significant elevation.
Susan was the best guide! She took us to all the best viewing sites. At the waterfalls she knew exactly where to stand for the best view. She kept us moving to see everything possible. The Skyline Trail hike was amazing. Lots of wildlife and falls colors. I have already recommended her tour to friends heading to Washington.
