The tour is planned for those who can't stand huge crowds and want to enjoy the magic of Pompeii when the majority of people are already heading back home and when the heat - especially in summer - isn't as suffocating as in the rest of the day!
For this reason, the tour is scheduled for late afternoon and tailored for small groups up to 15 people, because the aim is to make the visit as relaxing and smooth as possible.
The beauty of Pompeii at sunset will certainly be the icing on the cake!

Good, but not exactly what we expected
Very easy to meet the guide. Having the guide take care of tickets ahead of time was a big benefit. Very turnkey. The tour focused a lot on the excavated town and what life was like there, which was fascinating. My kids were hoping for a bit more on how the disaster unfolded and the mechanics of the volcano. So whatever tour you book, I would inquire about that ahead of time and let them know where you want to focus.

Excellent tour!
A terrific tour, our guide really knew Pompeii and you could tell he had a passion for the space. He showed us some really interesting things and there were NO crowds or lines. I will say we finished up a little early because we lost the light. I wish we had had a bit more time and that the tour maybe started a half or an hour or so earlier.

Stunning tour!
Our evening tour with Giovanni was absolutely spectacular! Pompeii was simply a treasure and Giovanni had so much passion as he explained such interesting pieces of history! We learned so much, and we felt like we had the place to ourselves! We wouldn't hesitate to take family and friends on this tour next time we are in the Naples/Pompeii area!

Pompeii closing time Tour
This is definitely one of the best tours we have taken. The guide was enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. We avoided the hot burning sun and the massive crowd during the daytime. We had Pompeii to ourselves! Would recommend to everyone!

Amazing place
Absolutely amazing guide.. so much information. Not long enough inside. The tour should have been longer and we should have been told we had to pay entrance fees which were above the cost of the trip.

Closing time tour
Jose was fantastic. Even though the tour was meant to be 2 1/2 hours, we were still going nearly 4 hours in finishing at 11.30. Jose was very knowledgeable- and very laid back too. A really great value tour

Excellent guided walk with Giovanna
This tour is a wonderful experience - because it is late in the day, there are far fewer people and you really get to enjoy Pompeii without everything being way overcrowded. Giovanna was an excellent guide who took us to the important places and shared interesting stories and facts about the things we saw. Pompeii is such a large site that having someone knowledgeable to pick out the best parts to see was worth every cent. Giovanna was able to read some of the original writing still visible on the walls and share with us really interesting little snippets of information that you otherwise would miss just walking around with a guide book. Another great thing is that it's a small group - in our case it was just the two of us - so you really get a more personal experience.
I'd really recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit Pompeii to get the most out of the visit.

Pompeii Closing Time Tour
We chose this tour tin the hope that we would avoid massive crowds and also the hottest part of the day. On both counts we were entirely satisfied, it was almost like having the place to ourselves, there were so few people about and you could find plenty of shade. The tour guide, Lucia, was charming and knowledgeable and all in all it was a wonderful experience.

Beautiful & almost ALL to ourselves
This was an AWESOME private early evening tour after hours. The guide was full of information and funny. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Pompeii that wants to see the ruins without the crowds. If we went during regular hours I would never have been able to get the pictures I got without people in them. The place was all to ourselves. The tour is only 2 hours but I feel the guide hit all the major areas that we could of missed with a map and a full day because it is so vast. This is a 2 Thumbs up in my book and I would do it again!

Sunset tour is best time
It was wonderful to do the tour at sunset as the temperature was nice and there was not crowds. The guide did an absolutely amazing job with the kids and kept it interesting for them. The only way to experience Pompeii is with a guide.
